At 10:35am on 9/26/23, I bought a ticket to a 11/10/23 concert at Terminal 5 (run by Bowery Presents) through AXS (cost: $61.80 after fees). The show was billed as The Front Bottoms with ***********************. I am a *********************** fan; I have no idea who The Front Bottoms are and have no intention of finding out. At 5:56pm on 9/26/23, *********************** tweeted that they would be unable to play their shows with The Front Bottoms, including the 11/10/23 show at Terminal 5. A bummer! But no problem, I will just request a refund. I contacted AXS, who said they would submit the request to the promoter (Bowery). Several days later, AXS notified me that the refund request was denied by the promoter. I then contacted the promoter directly to request a refund, thinking that maybe they did not understand the situation--I bought a ticket because they listed a band on the ticket that was no longer playing their venue. Surprisingly, I received another denial from the promoter, because "[a]ll supporting acts are subject to change." So, theoretically, they could list any band they wanted as an "opener" to entice customers to buy tickets, and then switch them out at any point before the show. From the outside, we have no transparency about whether they even book bands in the first place. I think they are missing a huge opportunity for profitable fraud by not listing *********************** as the opening act for every concert at their venues and then switching her out for a T Swift cover band, but that is beside the point. They are still massive frauds.Customer response

Booked tickets via AXS from the Bowery Presents with confirmation number ********. Order Date:Mar 4 2022 ****************** Address:*** ************************************************************ ********************************* Approval Auth Number******* Reference Number:******** ************************* Charge:$41.10 Per Order Handling Fee:$3.00 Grand Total:$164.10 Amount Charged To Your Credit Card:$164.10 Requested cancellation and refund in advance of the show when sick due to coronavirus, as their website stated was a possibility, and I tried to contact them multiple times in advance to see if we should sell our tickets. We were told we would likely get a refund due to the public health crisis, but then the show date passed, we did not hear back from them, and we were told the Promoter (Bowery Presents) had reviewed our request and denied it. I reached out to the promoter as well and they answered that they do not give refunds, although I requested to appeal due to coronavirus and the public health crisis. They did not respond. I would like a refund, since we did our due diligence to try to plan accordingly and would have sold the tickets if they had let us know that they declined our request before the show rather than after. Thanks.Customer response

On October 25th, 2021 I bought 2 tickets to see the band ************************* Big **** Band at Mercury Lounge, order number # **-********** The afternoon of the performance (scheduled for November 21, 2021) the show was inexplicably postponed without any explanation. At the time it said it was to be rescheduled and thus no refund options were available. It has now been almost exactly 5 months and no make-up date has been assigned. I am seeking a refund of the $42.50 paid for the two tickets. I emailed the business on January 21st, 2022 and did not receive a response. On April 18th, 2022 I contacted Ticketmaster directly requesting a refund through their channels but was told that refund decisions are through the venue only. Thus, I have no choice but to file this complaint against Mercury Lounge in the hopes that they return the money for the tickets for the show postponed with no date in sight for rescheduling.Customer response
