Around 2pm on May 16, I accompanied my parents and boyfriend to the coast in downtown ******** to see the Statue of Liberty. We bought the tickets in advance. 100 yards before the security checkpoint, several people in Statue of Liberty uniform told us that the ticket check had stopped. We could not take the boat ticket to see the Statue of Liberty up close. They could provide us with a service to exchange the expired ticket for a bus ticket, which would take us to visit the seaside scenery and see the Statue of Liberty from a distance. We only needed to pay $30 per person and the original ticket would be returned to us within 3-5 working days after he scanned it. After we bought his ticket, we realized that we were cheated. He concealed the price from us, and my BOA account was deducted $219.96 in total. At the same time, we realized that they were not official staff at all, and the ticket checkpoint was not stopped. There were still a large number of people ******* to the seaside to take the boat to the island. When I realized that I was cheated, I asked for a refund, but they refused. I tried to provide information to BOA and disputed for refund, but *** did not take the initiative to refund me.

Date: April 8, 2024 On the way to take the free ******************* to see the Statue of Liberty, my family was approached by an official-looking man who told us that we would not have a good view of the Statue on the free ferry and would not be allowed to return immediately, taking 3 hours which we didn't have. For a claimed $150 we could take a one hour express tour straight to the Statue. We agreed to go with him. He then charged my credit card $273.20 without showing me the amount on his screen, and quickly passed us off to someone else to walk us to the "boat," then to another man who spent our walking time just asking for a tip. When I declined him, he started swearing at me. We were taken to an empty bus, no where near ready to depart as we had been told. We waited on the bus for 20 minutes, going nowhere, and realized we had been scammed and there was no way we would get to the Statue and back to land in the time promised. We left having received nothing but insults and a bill much higher than quoted. The following day we had time to take the free ferry, had a great view, and were able to return immediately on another free ferry.I complained to the credit card provider ***** of America) but was denied.

Date: 2024-03-21 Amount: $109.98 USD I purchased ferry tickets from the official website of Statue City Cruises. I was entering ************ on my way to the ferry terminal. This ticket salesperson from the scam cruise company 'New York Iconic Cruises' was wearing a uniform with 'authorized staff' printed on it and stopping everyone from entering the park asking people about their ferry schedules. The ticket salesperson was pretending to work for Statue City Cruises providing ferry service to Liberty Island when in reality he does not. This salesperson gave me false information about my actual cruise saying that I'll need to wait for 2-* more hours because the ferry is first come first served. This is not true in reality because the ferry departs at least every hour, and there was no long lineups. The salesperson then coerced me into getting a 'service upgrade' that would let me start the cruise right away. He promised a ferry ticket to Liberty Island for $39 per person, but the actual service that would have been provided according to the transaction was a cruise AROUND the island for $49 per person plus fees. After I paid the fees, he asked me to follow his 'coworkers' to leave the park and wait for a shuttle bus. It was at that point when I realized they are not part of Statue City Cruises. I immediately stopped following them and did not use their cruise service at all. This business has scamming practices including lying about who they are, lying about what they provide, and lying about the price. When I tried to request a refund, the company would not address my concerns.REC #: ** TERM.#: **************** LOCAT: **** Office AGENT: (***) BSL TOURS REF.#: ************ AID: **************

Date: Sunday, December 18th, 2022 Amount: $110.00 *********** offered to provide us an hour long guided tour of key areas of interest in ***. We were told we would visit sites such as *********** center, The *********************, the ****************** etc, and that the tour would be guided. After waiting and waiting and waiting in the cold for over an hour I requested a refund We were told there were no refunds allowed. We wanted to get off the bus because they kept telling ** we would leave soon but kept ** waiting for over an hour while they hustled more customers. We were not happy but were still looking forward to the tour as promised. Once we started driving we realized we had been scammed. The tour was NOT guided. There was no tour guide or information or even an audio recording played during our bus ride and the bus took ** on random streets and we did not get to see any of the attractions as promised. Our bus did not drive through the city, but on the edge of town by the river and once we reached the **************** our bus driver turned around and took the same route back without offering ** a different route or viewpoint. We did not get to see any of the sites as promised and was offered no historical/locational/geographical information along the way. Our position is still same as it was at the time of the initial reply. We apologize to ****************** and others in his visiting party for their less than desired experience during their tour, people have different expectation towards services, especially when such a service is paid for, we do all our best to meet up and even beat our customers, expectation, it is unfortunate that this particular scenario was not one of the countless where we have received satisfactory feedback, we are as pained as ****************** by this experience, we shall do all we can in ensuring that our services keeps improving. However, we are not scammers as he has alleged, we are a highly rated sightseeing company in *************.

      Thank you.

This company is a piece of work. The initial complaint was filed in December and it is now MAY.  Their first response was BLANK and their second response is addressed to a "******************"--that is not me. Secondly, they claim they are "highly-rated". This is false. They have many unfavorable reviews online and their trip advisor "reviews" are so obviously fake and not by real customers. Hopefully they will get exposed for their shady business practices--blatant lying to customers.
