  On April 27, I had a dermatology appointment at Lebow Dermatology (******************************************************************************* *****). I showed Dr. ********************** a tiny pimple on my ear and she popped it. After my next appointment on May 25, the front desk told me I owe $300, and it is a charge from my insurance company, not the doctor's ******* When I got home, I called my insurance company, Aetna. They said they never charged me and informed me that Lebow Dermatology had charged me for an in-office surgery. ***** said they never have doctor's offices collect charges for them. If it was an actual charge from Aetna, they would have reached out to me directly. I asked what I could do to reverse the charge, because I was never informed that popping a tiny pimple on my ear would have such a high price tag. Being a graduate student, the $300 came out of my rent money for **** and I was unable to pay my rent. ***** told me to ask my doctor to reclassify or override the charge to something other than a surgery.On **** 22, I went back to Lebow Dermatology for another appointment. Upon checking in, the people at the front desk, asked me what ***** told me and said once again ***** was charging me and not them. During my appointment, I asked Dr. ********************** if she could please override or reclassify the charge, because the $300 came out of my rent money leaving me unable to pay my **** rent. She became combative and informed me that was impossible. I told her ***** said she has the ability to do it. Dr. ********************** then said it was against ******** law and when I asked what law, she stormed out of the room, shouting in the hallway, "It's not my fault that you can't deal with your own problems." Next, her business manager ****** came in. I said I was never told there would be a cost for popping a tiny pimple, no other office has charged me for that, and if I had known, I would have said no. She berated me as well. When I went to the front desk to check out, ****** yelled "Just leave, get out" at me.
