I would give negative stars if I could. This is the biggest scam ever. They are intentionally targeting people who struggle to afford the traditional path and then they ***** them. I got insulation done and I had only lived there for about a year and they keep sending "invoices" that are really just gibberish saying I saved this or that so I have to pay them over 3 times what I would've paid if I just never did anything. I have a small home and they charged over 700. one month and 1100. another month. The total cost of the insulation was about *****. and they said I have to continue paying for 20 years!!! On top of this, I have to pay my gas bill that has not gone down since they did the work. The company they sent to do the work also damaged my stuff in the process of the installation. They sprayed the foam from the garage into the basement covering shoes, boots, exercise equipment, paintings, furniture, winter items, and more. They also left huge cutouts in the garage ceiling.Review from Luis S

Terrible company, avoid them like the plague!!The company does not do a good job of explaining their billing and every month the charges are higher. You end up paying sealed and also the utility company and they did not explain this before the contract is signed, also they make it hard to cancel out of their contract and want you to pay via ACH debit in one lump sum.Review from Alex K

Sealed ghosted us after making us wait a month before they could schedule ** for a field visit with a local service provider. Would've been better off going directly to the local provider, which I intend to do. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone local -- better for those businesses, too, who no longer have to provide a commission to Sealed.Review from Pedro S

Sealed is a terrible company. I used them over two years ago and still having issues with my house. We struggle to get air flow in the house after insulation so they gave us credit for an EVR. It has somewhat improved but there are still issues with air flow. We have open windows constantly which negates the point of the program to ***************** they do not want to help out and my kids are constantly going to the doctors for respiratory issues. We walk into the house after being gone for the day and its as if no one has lived in there for years and windows were closed. House is not breathing. I hate this company and urge you not to use them. I am talks with a lawyer now to see if they can help. What a waste of time, money and more importantly health issues.Sealed Inc. Response

Our team took a deep dive into the history of your account and resolutions provided to solve your home ventilation concerns. In response to the voiced concerns Sealed has:- Re-installed new insulation to ensure highest quality - Installed new ductwork to reduce any pre-existing leakage or air quality effects - Administered blower door testing to ensure the home meets BPI standards - As noted, installed an ERV ventilation system and reviewed resulting air quality readings We believe that we have take the appropriate measures to improve the comfort and efficiency of your home and all available tests and readings from multiple sources confirm this.Review from Anton B

I view it as a blessing in disguise that the interaction with Sealed did not proceed beyond the first few minutes of the follow-up phone call. I must say that the initial demands on the utilities data are very invasive: not only Sealed wants your usage, but also your account numbers. And for the introductory conversation, where they were supposed to work through the annual bills and find the consumption of both electricity and the heating oil, I provided meticulously transcribed kWh for electric for each month, the annual usage bar graph, the monthly payments, as well as the fuel oil data. For the electric, the screenshots of the monthly usage and monthly payment bar graphs were provided. Nonetheless, they kept insisting on seeing the 12 monthly statements from the electric company, to the point that I had to discontinue the conversation. Having read the reviews here, on the ******** page and elsewhere, I am happy that I spent only very minimal time with Sealed: only lightly rattled, but overall largely unscathed, and the house has not been Swiss-cheesed like those of the less fortunate folks below. The company that encourages its employees (****, *******) to just push forward and ignore the customer reasoning should not be getting anyone's business. Oh, and how do I get them to "un-know" my utilities account numbers?Sealed Inc. Response

I was told by Sealed Air that the monthly cost would about $120 to $160 per month and that one or more of my utilities would decrease significantly and also be included. Was told by one of thei people we pay your electric bill which was not true. Then SAs bill for one month was $571! My home may be more efficient but they were deceptive about their true costs.Sealed Inc. Response

We did some digging on your account and checked your original discussions with the Sales team to make sure the right cost expectations were set. There was discussion on your call on November 29th where the sales representative described the cost expectations and variability of bills (higher in the winter, lower in the summer). The average spend monthly throughout the year would equal the ******* range if set up on budget or level payment plan. We see you have been working with our Customer Success already on this to get you set up with those leveled bills. **************** from beginning was great but month after month of additional charges (supposedly based on ones savings) never makes any sense. I think they make it all up. No matter how much or how little you use they charge with no details. And why would one save on electricity in Winter resulting in a large additional charge with the gas charge. None of it makes sense. I agree with another review - pay off asap.Sealed Inc. Response

They have this equation that predicts what you might of use which allows them to manipulate the numbers to maximize their profits. Im being *************** from 2- 3 times what my actual gas bill is, how can they say we saved you $20-$40 dollars in gas give ** $200-$350 dollars. Its completely unjustified how they want their money back! There is no way of budgeting a random number every month. They even calm that in the summer they saving you something just to charge you money. They also calm its a 20 year program but it seem they want their money back in less then 4 years. Their billing is so vague, I dont understand why they never bill you an itemized bill, plus it never shows your balance to know exactly what you have paid to date! I strong dont recommend using them, if you can take a personal loan out definitely do so! Also they just take the money from your account even you dont have overdrawing your account, depending on your financial situation they can really but a hardship on you!Sealed Inc. Response
