      I subscribed to this in 03/20 AND MY ACCT # Account #:************* . They keep sending me emails WHICH I DON'T READ THEN TEHEY TELL ME I DO READ THEM.I asked them today to cancel my subscription and refund my $199 charged to MY AM EX ON 04/23/23. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CANCEL IS BY CALLING THEM WHICH I DID TODAY.MOST LEGIT WEBSITES YOU CAN CANCEL WITHA EMAIL..SLEEZY AND CHEEZY POLICY.I HAVE ALSO TURNED IT OVER TO AM EX AS A DISPUTE

      Hello 

      **************** called into our offices on 5/10/23 requesting a refund to his subscription to the Empire Stock Investor newsletter.  On that date, we refunded his credit card as requested for $199.  This was resoled before any complaint was issued with the BBB.  I can provide an invoice proving the refund if needed, but I've attached a screenshot of the refund record in our database as well.  We never received any email notification of cancelation.  However, customers can certainly request to cancel a subscription via email and we will happily assist them.   Additionally, I've attached screenshots of the emails we've sent ****************, which shows the emails have been opened.  The screenshots show recent emails along with the emails leading up to his phone call into our office.   If **************** would like his email to be removed from our database completely, we will gladly do so if he requests such action.  He can either call ** at ************* or send ** an email at *******************************.

      Empire Financial Research is continuously sending me emails despite unsubscribing multiple times and never subscribing to receive these emails in the first place. I have tried calling their customer service representatives but this was to no avail.

      Hello!  Sincerest apologies in the delayed response- We've had change in management and it's our priority to have happy customers.  Colin reached out to our service team in late December via email and phone.  We added him to a Do Not Promote list and also updated email settings as requested.  Our records indicate that emails were stopped being sent 4 months ago after the request.   If there are still any issues that require our attention, we are open M-F, 9am-5pm EST and can be reached at ******************************** or at ###-###-####- we will be happy to assist with anything further.

      I called to cancel the service which I don't recall signing up for the annual plan. I was told that I was about ten days past the 30 day cutoff. I told them that I didn't use the service and was not interested in continuing. I also explained that I was not aware that it would automatically renew. They charged me $216 for an annual fee. They refused to refund any amount. I can be reached at ****************** or **************. I'm hoping you can help me get a refund, even a partial refund.

      Hello there,

      This is ***** with Empire Financial Research. I am pleased to report we were able to directly contact and issue a new check refund to the customer's home address as there was originally a refund issued at the date of subscription cancellation however the customer was unable to receive it so we went ahead and spoke with ******* directly and issued a new refund for the total amount of the charge.

      The company illegally obtained my e-mail address, and started to send me e-mails.They were issued a cease and desist notice on November 18th, 2021. Company did not respond to it, and sent me more promotional e-mails on November 24th, 2021.They are now in violation of both ******** and ** Anti-SPAM laws.

      Hi there,

       

      It appears the following customer has had contact with our service reps and it does appear the emails have been removed, we cannot legally obtain email addresses, and it does appear the customer signed up for a publication with another financial affiliate of ours which does require emails. We also have an unsubscribe button at the bottom of all of our emails!

       

      Please let us know if there are any other concerns regarding this.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      Per original complaint my e-mail address was illegally harvested, and the original cease and desist notices were ignored.

      I am beyond appalled it took so long for such a "legitimate" company to respond, and am disgusted they placed the onus on me the consumer with no proof that I personally agreed to these illegal promotional emails.

      I will note it is illegal in both the ** and Canada.
