I purchased my car in June of 2021. There was ONE month where I did not change my insurance over. Once I realized the mistake I IMMEDAITELY contacted my insurance company to have this error corrected. Around October of 2021 I received a letter stating that they were unable to verify my insurance so they were adding their own insurance to my policy, increasing my monthly car payment. I immediately called to advise that I have full coverage on the car and owned my mistake by the one month of not. I made a call to my insurance agent and they had the information faxed over to them. Once this was taken care of I was told that everything was taken care of and there is no additional action required. November comes around and I receive ANOTHER letter in the mail stating they are unable to verify my insurance and that they were going to give me their insurance policy. Once again, I called GE and they told me that I did not have insurance AT ALL on my vehicle and they were unable to verify the insurance and stated nothing was ever sent. The final notice letter gave me a website to go to and upload my policy to them on my own. I did that and then received an email stating everything looks good and no further action is required (AGAIN). On January 12th of this month I made a phone call to GE to pay my monthly payment and my car payment went up $110.00. Once they made me aware of this I immediately asked to speak to someone about this and got passed around until about 5:30 PM and they advised me they were closed. The next day comes and I go into a ***************** and they stated to me for the lapse in coverage for ONE month I now have to pay $1,200 for their insurance WHEN I ALREADY HAVE MY OWN POLICY. I have never even received ANY policy information about this "policy" they have given me. My credit is getting absolutely destroyed by this and I have never missed a single payment AT ALL until this happened and has dropped over 45 points.Customer response
