      They failed to freeze my membership and continued to charge me for two consecutive months. I had to reach out numerous times and finally was told that my account would receive a credit to offset the following month. Although this happened, because of the issues, they overcharged me in the month that I wasn't even supposed to pay. Months of back and forth with management, names starting with J's, and they were helpless. Would not recommend this place. Very expensive and the management is terrible.

      I was planning on joining the Equinox gym in ********* ** back in November 2023. **** in sales took my credit card information through texting. Said I only had some many days to use the special 3 day pass they gave me. I was busy so never used the facilities, I never signed a contract and they went ahead and charged me. I told them to stop and they ignored me charging another month. I had to contact my credit card company to block them. Back and forth email dealing with *******************. Now its mid February and its still not resolved. I have been more than patient with them. They are God awful. I wanted to join the gym to alleviate stress but quite the opposite they made my life unnecessarily stressful and they dont care.

      Scam!******************* engages in deceptive business practices. The salesman said I could quit at any time. He also said there was free laundry service, which was a lie. Laundry costs extra.When I tried to leave for a better, cheaper gym, the manager at Equinox informed me that they had conned me into signing a 12-month membership. This means Equinox will defraud me of nearly $3,000. Do not join this gym. They will lie to get you to join. And then they will lock you into an expensive, undisclosed 12-month contract.

      Cannot get ahold of the manager, I emailed her 4 time trying to cancel my membership. She is always busy. I wouldn't join this gym if they paid me. No one is helpful. I have called over 20 times to try and get this resolved. 1 star for this business is very generous. Do not join here.

      Equinox is the most predatory, horrible gym ever RUN don't walk away. The staff is incredibly rude and they charged my partner for a 6 week training program without his authorization. When we tried to have a conversation with them about it, they refused to take responsibility for miscommunication on their end, and even when we let them know we do not have the budget, they were intent on keeping us in the contract. I wish we never joined and you will too. I recommend finding a moderately priced gym with the amenities you desire that has better customer service.

      Terrible management. I cancelled my membership in person, with a membership advisor who told me when my last day of use would be. The card I used was managed by another person so I did not know my I was still being charged. When I did become aware of this I contacted the club immediately and was told it would be handled, they updated a new card for the refund, they even offered an apology. The following day a manager reneged on this via email and said they required proof of correspondence for my cancellation. Since I was not given any paperwork, which was the mistake of the membership advisor, I had no proof. The manager put all the blame on me instead of the incompetence of the membership advisor.

      In March 22 I stopped by Equinox to take a look at the local facility. Saleswoman showed me the club, and we briefly discussed my goals and that I was looking into private training programs. Then she invited me into her office and asked me if I am interested in joining the club, so that she can send me the contract to take a look and sign.I said I need to think about it, and she asked for my credit card saying that there will be no charges until I decide to proceed with the contract. I made it clear that I was not ready to commit, and needed some time to think about it and then I left. I ended up enrolling with a different club and NEVER SIGNED THE CONTRACT with Equinox.Sometime the following week I received a letter from a Equinox team member offering to schedule my first private session - I replied right away that I am not interested. Then a few days later my credit card was charged twice for $390 each time, I went *** and reached out to the facility management. Instead of talking to the management I got a call back from the same sales person (what a great idea to be accountable by management!) I expressed how upset I was with these charges and that I never signed any contract, and for sure did not want neither membership nor personal sessions. She never apologized to me for the charges, instead was claiming that I did not make myself clear that I am not interested in enrolling (an outright lie) - so somehow she made a decision on my behalf to sign me up. Anyway, I got my $780 back with no apologies or a call from the management. I was ready to forget about this nasty incident but a month later I got another $190 charge to my credit card. Basically, Equinox was charging me again and again, without me signing any contract and despite me making it ******* clear that I wanted nothing to do with Equinox. I ended up wasting another 20 minutes of my life by calling the national support line, where they confirmed that I never signed my contract and that

      I feel like I was cheated out of my money. I received a wax from the spa at there sports club location in ****** and the woman was great but had missed some spots leaving hair patches. I didnt notice right away but called to speak with the manger to ask for a refund since I couldnt make it in-person for them to fix and she rudely declined and said she wouldnt refund me. I offered to send her pictures as proof but again she declined. I emailed the general manager, ***********************, to express his coworkers lack of professionalism and he chose to be condescending and take her side without contacting me to hear my complaint. He also continued to insinuate that it was my fault for the situation, suggesting that I go somewhere else to get my services done. As a paying customer that is beyond unprofessional. ****** the ** was unethical the way he handled the situation that I wouldnt even bother joining there gym.

      Equinox Sports Club of ******** on *************** is a very strange place. After almost five years of membership there without a problem, I was bullied by a younger woman in the locker room. She pushed me, when I addressed it briefly, she called me names. Upset, I went to get the manager who came and saw the bully who is obviously her friend (the bully said "Hi" to her and began to stroke her arm.) The manager, ************************* suggested to me that I go home for the day. I was clearly upset but she showed me no empathy. She told me to come to her office, didn't offer me a chair or any interest in what had happened. I left as I was planning to swim, had a lane at the pool reserved and was in my bathing suit when all this happened. When I returned home ******* emailed me to say I had run out of her office and that as no aggression is tolerated at the club (ironic as I was bullied) that she is terminating my membership immediately. I phoned the club to discuss it and was told she had left on a vacation. No one has called me back for the past three weeks. This club is being managed by a woman who is on a power trip and is totally unprofessional.

      I joined this gym because ******** ****** **** closed due to pandemic. This gym offers stuff identical to **** such as locker rooms, showers, towels, classes, free weights, steam room, weight machines and cardio. However the gym and amenities are nice when they decide to be open. Equinox costs $186 per month with year contract. **** was like $55 a month. ****** ******* is $10 a month. The worst part of this gym are the hours. Closes at 9 pm Monday to Thursday. Any holiday weekend, you will need to go before 3 pm. Over 2021 Labor Day weekend, they close at 3 pm each day Saturday Sunday and actual Labor Day. Even regular weekends they close at 5 and 6 pm. ****** ******* and ** ******* are open until 7 pm and 8 pm on holiday weekends. Good luck complaining to the management. They will give you lip service about how the times they are closed are based on member utilization so it sounds legitimate. And they will say they are "constantly readjusting" to coronavirus blah blah blah. And they dont allow you to cancel even though they represent they will be open reasonable hours. That is mislead to potential gym members because they are not open reasonable hours, compared to other gyms in the area. They must think all equinox members have second homes they go to each weekend and holiday weekend. Or they are just lazy and dont care about their members. Additionally they havent had plastic bags in mens locker room for months. They claimed at first the supplier was out of them. Then they said its part of a green initiative to reduce plastic bags. Well what are people supposed to use for their sweaty clothes?Do not join this gym. They do not care about the gym members and will be snide when you bring issues to their attention.
