I was in the emergency room of Mt. Sinai West on 1/25/24. I have repeatedly for months asked for a full billing statement from that visit, which this hospital has simply refused to provide. I also had my attorney contact the billing department and they claimed to have received the information given. But they still have done nothing. I clearly stated that I was injured at work and this is a workers compensation claim. I have been ignored by any person who works at this hospital. My attorney and I have provided the insurance companys information in full and they have refused to submit this bill to them. It is easier to keep me as the person responsible and then crater my credit adding an unpaid $6K bill to it. I expect: to be emailed the full billing statement to my address provided. I expect: to get written confirmation with proof that this bill has not been reported to any of the 3 credit reporting bureaus. I expect: to have this bill fully removed from my Sinai account and from any and all responsibility as per Workers Compensation, no patient is ever to be directly billed for services. I expect: your billing department to work with the workers comp insurance company on remitting payment. I am shocked and appalled at the behavior of this hospital. I would NEVER refer Mt. Sinai West to anyone, including my worst enemy. That emergency room was a disgusting cesspool where they were not even cleaning rooms after people died. *********.Business response

Dear ****** of *** ******** BBB,
Thank you for sending us this communication. Although Mount Sinai West did not have the patient's workers compensation insurance on file, we have not billed the patient for the hospital charges from her 1/25/2024 Emergency Room visit as of yet. Due to this communication we will remove the balance from the patient's responsibility and pursue resolution with her workers compensation carrier. If you or the patient can provide that information by calling our **************** line at ************, this would greatly assist our efforts. We will be outsourcing this to our vendor that bills and follows-up with patients and workers compensation carriers to resolve such matters.
This has not been and will not be reported to any of the credit reporting agencies, so the consumers credit has not been and will not be impacted due to these hospital ER charges.
We did receive a request for all ****************** billing records from *** Law ******s of ************************ LLC. Those records were sent to ******************************************* in order to satisfy this request. Now that we have converted this to a workers compensation case, we will also send a copy of the itemized bill to the address that we have on file for ***************************.
