My company had a disability policy with Standard Security for many years we never canceled the policy, in 2019 we were notified by the ****************************** that our policy was canceled without any notification and consequently our business was fined, we contacted the insurance company and were advised to pay the premiums for the years missed and sign a hold harmless letter, we paid up the premium up to the end of 2019 and asked that they provide electronic notification to ******** yet they ignored our request despite receiving full premium payments up to 2020, I made multiple requests to several departments at the company but they still have not submitted the obligated information to the ******** workers compensation office.Customer response

Due to an unknown error, Standard Security Life Insurance Company of ******** ("SSL")only recently received this complaint on November 3, 2022. Upon discovery of this complaint, we immediately reached out to the complainant ***************** We have been able to resolve the issues of this complaint per ******************** request. As of april 7th of 2022 i became disabled from my current emloyer *************** in ******* **, because of a health issue. My employer stated to me to contact Standard Security Life Insurance Company, they will be handling my disability claim. As of june 15 2022 i have yet to receive any type of assitance or payment on my claim. I have contacted the insurance numbrous times over the last 3 months and have not been able to resolve my issue and receive my claim payment.. I strongly believe that the insurance company is neglecting my needs to assit me with my claim. Please feel free to have a caseworker contact me at anytime so i can provide the addition information needed to resolve my issue and receive payment on my disability claim.Business response

Due to an unknown error, Standard Security Life Insurance Company of ******** ("SSL")only recently received this complaint on November 3, 2022. Upon discovery of this complaint, we immediately reached out to the complainant, ***************, via the information provided in the BBB complaint, as well as the information we have on file. We made several attempts to contact *************** via phone but could not reach her; we were unable to leave a message as the voicemail was full. We also attempted to contact **************** via email however SSL has not received any response at this time. All of our attempts to reach the complainant have been unsuccessful and we request that this complaint be closed.
