      I had over $40k in my account that was not able to be withdrawn for over a month. They had me verify my identity with my drivers license many times and send in multiple bank statements to prove the money in my account was mine. After all of that and hundreds of emails, ***** was still unable to unfreeze the account and kept giving me new tasks to complete. He kept telling me new further out timelines and then stopped responding to my emails all together. I finally resorted to threatening legal action citing section 18 of their terms of service. My funds were magically released the same day. I have been investing with Public for almost 4 years. Theyve never had a problem taking money from my bank accounts, but as soon as I wanted to withdraw any of it, it was a nightmare.

      This company's trading platform is designed to keep your funds and not enable you to transfer them out. they automatically renew any treasury bill you bought with them and provide no way to turn it off.they are awful and have no phone customer support.Don't invest through them.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a way to turn this off. To withdraw a Treasury bill at maturity, you can place a sell trade the business day prior to the maturity date, between 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST.

      This is a scam. Dont put your money in here. They try all kinds of tactics to make a ***** ************* When I would buy a stock it would always be 1-2% higher than the actual price and when selling a stock the price that they would give me was always 1-2% lower than the actual price. I checked it several times to make sure I wasnt hallucinating. Now they have locked my account from me being able to withdraw my funds. I got an email that my account was being transferred to a different firm and after ************************************************************************** an answer as to why this has happened. This is ridiculous and illegal.

      They steal your contracts, sell them high, then give you a low quality fill. I was told that I am not allowed to EXIT one of my positions after a certain time of day. Minutes later, they gave me an awful market fill costing me thousands of dollars. Worst brokerage I've ever used. Have never seen a brokerage not allow you to exit your own position. They also don't have stop loss.Use a real brokerage. Stay far away from these people. The only support they have is responding to bad reviews. You won't get a response on the app or website unless you write one.

      Heard good things, decided to try it out, set up account, transferred funds and executed a trade. Everything went into a "pending" status, this after I had already received an official email stating my account was approved and open for trading. I then find out by searching the fine print that both my transfer and my trade are on hold for 6 days. Bunch of BS, basically just threw my money away.

      The company lied about filling an order at a certain price and did NOT, cost me 10% of equity, was slow to respond as well, and feels like the place is run by gen **** or millennials who do not care about customer experience.

      Set up is designed to get you to move money asap, however information on what you are moving your money to is non-existent. I was opening an account to take advantage of a specific savings account. They moved my money into another type of account and I only found out later that I cant move my money into this type of account or out of the organization for a week. This could have been avoided if I had been given an option to move my money directly into the account I had intended to open

      Public is by far the worst site I've ever used and I strongly plead with anyone considering them to not do it! You will lose your money! My personal experience is I purchased multiple different cryptos. I bought **** *** coins at **** a coin as well as stellar lumens, shiba inu, and a few others. All of them have consistently gone down over the course 18 months. Out of nowhere I get a notice stating public is no longer carrying these cryptos. That if I didn't trade them for others they do carry they would sell my cryptos and credit my account. My question is what gives them the right? I don't recall reading they can do this in the disclaimer when I opened a public account. So if there making me sell cause they chose to not carry them shouldn't I get the price I paid for them originally at the least? I messaged them and never got a reply back. And now i have ir on very good authority it's all a long term on going scam at which you lose. Where is the sense of security that u buy something u can keep as long as u want. Whats the point. I am making a complaint to the sec and I have almost 50 other unhappy people that no longer have public. It's a long shot but its really sad that this is just what is going un noticed.
