    I concur with the experiences of many here.Reinstated my membership because of a promo offer (50% off 4 orders). Discount was not applied on first or second order. I was wondering if they would refund me after 4 orders, but decided to chat to find out after my second order went through at full price. Chatted with 2 agents, both of whom abandoned the chats. Was told it was a misunderstanding. :/Neither agent were able to give me a reason as to why the promo wasn't applied, one saying that if I had told them earlier they might have had a reason for me. It's bunk that their refusal to honor their promotion has become my responsibility and I'm supposed to feel bad about not alerting them to the issues in a timely fashion. I know from reading other reviews here that alerting them to the issue within 1-2 days wouldn't have guaranteed any resolution. I realize now that the trust I gave them was because of my respect and admiration for the chefs. Chefs, if you're listening, this company is using your good names to draw customers, but they aren't doing right by their customers. ********************** refuses to honor the promotions they offer, and once the problem is flagged, they refuse to resolve it. They will abandon your chats and gatekeep you from contacting anyone who has the authorization to rectify the issue at hand. You will be given the runaround. Sometimes you will be treated poorly, sometimes respectfully, but in the end you will not be helped either way.Cookunity will promise you one thing, but deliver another. Bait and switch tactics abound. They are not to be trusted.

    Chef meals what a joke. Take second class to say the least. What a waste of money. Portions are for a child not an adult. Very very disappointed. Cost and what u get is a crying shame.

    The food was great, the customer service is atrocious. They have no phone number and email support takes days to get a response. They force billed me twice sending me two orders back to back which I never ordered. I changed the delivery date from Wednesday to Tuesday and their system charged me twice and sent me two orders, one on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. Their customer service refused to lend any assistance. Canceled subscription and will be going with another meal plan

    CookUnity is literally a scam and will 100% steal your money. They cancelled my order, and refused to refund me. Its insane they allow customer service **** to just ignore you if they choose to. Illegal practices, horrendous customer service. This business will 100% be shutdown in a couple years.

    First order was to warm for me to eat.Driver did not follow instructions.Nor does packaging state anywhere to keep ******* customer service number only email ********** takes them a week to get back to you so if you have a question about safety of food , you might as well throw it away.I asked for a refund. Got no response.They then sent me another order of food I don't or can eat.I already had cancelled my subscription.Asked for a refund thru email . No response .

    Similar to others, they kept my payment info on file, and my subscription was re-activated without my knowledge. I was then charged $110 out of nowhere. I contacted customer support and they told me my order could not be refunded. They have been slow to reply and I am not expecting a resolution from them. I have to re-activate my subscription to edit my payment info that was saved on file. *************, avoid at all costs.

    First time trying this company. I placed an order and upon arrival I noticed my order was missing, it was delivered to the wrong address. I contacted customer service and they told me they would credit me for the amount of the order that was missing. On the second week I was expecting a different order from them and SAME THING HAPPENED., they delivered to the wrong address. Now I'm contacting customer service via email and they aren't replying to my email now.

    I advise you to not do business with this company. I requested to cancel my order and was told it was too late to cancel an order I didn't complete the transaction in the first place. They processed my order by using the credit card information I added to my account. They told me my order was enrought and would be delivered and then I could cancel my subscription. I never received my order. I contacted them again about my order and received an email telling me that they canceled my order and gave me a credit and not a refund. That I had to reactivate my subscription to get my money back by ordering from them. That's theft!!!

    I signed up for Cook Unity because they said they deliver to my area. My first week, they couldn't ship due to the holidays. In my second week, meals were packed and shipped from **. After a delay, they arrived *** on Jan 9; meals expire on Jan 12. Ice packs were melted, and my first meal caused me a stint in the bathroom for most of the night. Of course, I threw everything away to the tune of $120. I emailed customer service and crickets. In my third week, they packed and shipped *** on 1/13 from **. My order arrived 1/15 in *****, **. My meals expired on 1/19. Really? Four days? At least the ice packs were still partially frozen. The cooking instructions are wrong, both from the chef and the "fast" instructions. These meals looked so good to me online. I'm going back to frozen meals, and I'm agitated. I spent over $200 (300 if you count the next order they wouldn't let me cancel) for the five meals I could eat.

    This company has deceptive business practices. I took advantage of a $60 off offer with Cook Unity. The food was decent (not great, especially for the price) and under "credits and promotions, my account still showed a $60 off promotion with 38 more days until it expired, so I ordered again. I asked their bot how to confirm that a promotion would be applied, and it told me that the promotion would be applied automatically on my next confirmed order, and referred me back to the page showing the promotion. Once the order went through, I could see that the promotion was not applied. I sent a message to the company asking for it to be applied, and this is what I got back... "Upon checking, the promotion was available for your first order only. Even if the promotion says it is available, the time shown until it expires means the time you have to use it. However, it can be applied to one order only; it does not mean the discount will be applied to any order placed within that time. Since it has already been used, it is not meant to be applied to any other order you place." So, even though their bot told me it would be applied, and they admit that "the promotion says it's available," they will not honor it. I emailed back to say this is that an incredibly problematic business practice to show a discount in a way that makes it appear as if it is available, not give the customer a chance to see if it has been applied until after the offer has been placed, and then not respond to questions about the discount until the order is arriving/cannot be canceled. I asked if they would apply it to this one order, since I had no way of knowing about this very odd practice they have. They will not apply the promotion for me (but did give me a much smaller discount on the order). This is an extremely deceptive business practice and terrible customer service response. Stay away from them!
