BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning advertising, billing, and delivery of merchandise for Nora NYC. Consumers are telling BBB about their experiences after being contacted on Instagram by this online retailer of apparel and accessories. A number of consumers claim that Nora NYC representatives solicit them to become affiliates or brand ambassadors of the company. These consumers allege that the company promises them a number of perks for this partnership, among them - free sunglasses, no cost shipping, discounted merchandise, etc. Some consumers say they are told that they must post pictures of themselves on social media and tag Nora NYC to ensure the affiliation and receive the promised rewards. Several consumers that purchased sunglasses and other items on the basis of these promises reportedly never receive the merchandise that was ordered and paid for. A few customers that did receive the sunglasses say the product value is far less they have been led to believe by Nora NYC. Consumer's attempts to contact the company (via email or Instagram) are met with frustration, as emails are allegedly ignored and social media posts are deleted. Most of BBB's complaints filed by consumers against this company have not been answered.
