I made a purchase of $128.71 at this online store on the 29th of February, and applied a $10 gift card to this purchase. On March 12 I sent an email to the customer service address alerting them that I had not yet received one of the items in my order that I had already been charged for (items at this online store are charged for at the point of sale and not when they are shipped). I received a reply that the item was out of stock and that there was an error with their website. I had paid $17.21 for that item and was refunded only $7.21 to my credit card, while the other $10 was refunded to the gift card. I contacted the business again stating that this was unfair to me because I had not canceled or returned the item, that this was their error and I requested the full amount to of $17.21 to be returned to my credit card. They declined saying that the their policy is to provide refunds first to any gift cards used. However, I pointed out to them that their refund policy online does not state this AT ALL. There is no mention of this practice on their website in either the refund section nor in the gift card purchasing section. They replied that they will work to update their website. People should be aware that this business is not reputable and does not take accountability for their own system errors and short changes its customers using rules they don't disclose.Customer response

I ordered a product ********************** Order number *****. When it came it had a large scratch on the back. The shipping package was fine, it was like that when they mailed it. I returned it. They listed the product as "out of stock" so they couldn't send me a replacement. They have only given me store credit, i don't want store credit, i bought the product somewhere else. I asked for a refund, twice. No response.Business response

BACK IN MAY OF 2023 I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITH SHOPTIQUES.COM, BUT ************************* THE ***** OR HE IS SOMEONE LIKE THAT DID NOT CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. SOMEONE ON HIS WEBSITE PLATFORM ***** THREE BOTTLES OF PERFUME. ************************* EMAILED ME ABOUT THE ***** AND FORWARD THE SHIPPING LABELS, AND I SHIPPED THE ***** OUT. I DIDN'T HEAR FROM ************************* AFTER THE ***** HAD BEEN SHIPPED, SO I CALL HE AND SPOKE TO HIM ABOUT PAYMENT. HE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO FILL OUT BANKING INFORMATION TO FINISH THE TRANSACTION. I FILL OUT THE ONLINE FORM AND WAITED, AND I HAVEN SEEN MY MONEY DEPOSITED INTO MY ACCOUNT YET. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Shoptiques owes me $264 for an order that ************************* sent to me even after the account I had with them shouldve been closed. ************************* at Shoptidues emailed me the order while I was moving my business to another city in *******, but I fill the order with the information that was provided by ************************* at Shoptiques. I reached out to ************************* at Shoptiques for my payment, and ************************* at Shoptiques told I had to fill out a bank form. ************************* at Shoptiques email a link to get my payment. I never got my pay from ************************* at Shoptiques, and I called many a times. ************************* at Shoptiques has never returned my calls or email. I feel as if ************************* at Shoptiques has stolen money from me! Shoptiques has handle my POS, and I back at the end of May 2023 decided to end business with ************************* at Shoptiques after three years of doing business with ************************* at Shoptiques and **********. Because it was not a good business relationship.
