Good thing I educated myself before getting into the business. If any company charged you as an author it's a scam! Publishing your work is FREE and you can do it on Amazon, Kindle and other sources. Look up legit places like Penguin Random House and other traditional places instead of these scam vainty publisher places! They're ton of scam companies on ******** so always look for the blue check on ******** to make sure that a company is verified! This fraud company "Penguin book writer" contacted me on ******** and I vetted them ******** and they blocked me! Three best consumer is a ***************************, don't get scammed! Let the author beware ??!

Attempted to work with this company. Their poor communication should have been the first red flag. When I attempted to cancel the contract they kept trying to say my reason were invalid (even though I gave data that proves otherwise). So not use this company.

Horrible! I signed up for one price, they got all of my info then 2 days later I got a call that the initial sale was incorrect, even after hours of communication, it's about 2500 more. They work on your emotions, they lie and they are for the most part incredibly unprofessional. I had one person there out of the 7 who was good, *****, that's it. Horrible communication, prices are over the top then they try and get more out of you. A year later I'm still waiting for the job to be finished even though my book was written and given to them for editing on day one. I have been bullied by an obnoxious salesperson over and over until I had to disconnect here from my life. I've been given the run around many times, lied to, and completely taken advantage of. Yes, my book is published a year later and about 15k later with all the additional charges but the rest of my project is not and no one gets back to you. When they do they say "Oh I didn't get your email, it must have gone to spam. did you use the portal?" Even though we've communicated for a year via email and portal. I think they use the name assuming people will think they are the actual Penguin **************** but they are not. Most there don't speak clear English. do your research, they are frauds!

Regarding Penguin Book Writers, a hybrid publisher, and not, Penguin/Random House Books: WARNING: Proceed with caution if you hire PBW. My experience with PBW involved: deception by omission! My term.1.) In their Service Agreement, Section 2, lists 19 comprehensive services that I was to pay for.2.) Section 4 states, The client shall pay Service Provider the requested amount of $1XXX (One-time discounted fee) for the services listed in Section 2. If the client finds the services to be unsatisfactory, they can request a 100% refund at any given point, which shall be processed in 24 48 hours. Service Provider agrees to invoice the Client for services rendered under this agreement.What happened: After less than the first two items in the list were completed, (I hadn't yet returned my edit responses for 2/3 of the book.) I was asked to pay an additional $2200, discounted to $1799, for legal designations: ISBN# ($22.99 market price), Govt. Copy write ($45.00-$65.00 market price), and an LCCN - ******************* Catalog Number (Free with an ISBN#).Totally blind-sided, financially unprepared, and unsatisfied at the deception, I chose to end the Service Agreement and that's when a week of incessant back and forth arguing began ending with them asserting I was satisfied and committed, change of mind, (a term not found in the Service Agreement), giving them no refund obligation beyond 5% (also not in the ***** however, they did offer a higher amount, after keeping a fee (53%), for services rendered, to be returned in 10 15 business days. I had to remind them of that after 15 days but the refund was received within 48 hours from then.
