On 3/24 I was seen by this facility for an eye exam. After my exam I was sent to look at glasses for my new prescription. Lady immediately began to show me the first counter where she was to tell me prices (******) and so forth. I tried on a few pairs and settled with one upon her billing me she informs the total is ******. I was confused so I asked her does this charge include what my insurance covers and she said yes. I told her thats too much money so I asked if it instead I could use my prior pair of glasses and just have them place new script on those. Now she tells me ****** in which it was still extremely high?! Again I asked her is this including what my insurance covers she says yes. So I asked if they accept care credit, she tells me no but they do accept another credit called ****. I proceeded with saying ok, I was approved and she charged me the ******. I contacted my insurance because again it appeared that I was being over charged and when I spoke to my insurance they informed what they were charging I was covered. So now I called the optical and spoke with a supervisor and after I told her that I felt I was overcharged she told me she would review my insurance coverage and call me back. I received the call back and she informed I was overcharged ****** and that I had 2 choices it could be either applied back to credit or purchase something else. I told her to credit it back. However I never received an apology nor did they ever take my concern into consideration when I clearly asked twice about my insurance covering. I believe they are scamming more individuals like myself and not properly reviewing what insurance covers to over charge us for more compensation to them. Im extremely angry about this as not only did this affect my credit being pulled due to not being told actual price to properly understand what I can afford but also not being provided with an apology nor an itemized bill. I am requesting an itemized bill and credit returned to my original form of payment according to my insurance coverages !
