I placed an order for boots from the Aquatalia website on Feb 16, using the promo code for $100 off. I waited for the shipping notification and after 10 days, I emailed customer service and inquired. The next day, I received notification that my order was cancelled. I called customer service and they said the boot wasn't in stock despite the fact website still showed it avail to order. I asked if the same boot was available in a different finish - black suede as opposed to black leather I had initially ordered. The agent told me yes and I asked about applying the same promo code for $100 off and she instructed me to place the order and email customer service to apply the credit as a refund. So I did this and then the following day received another cancellation notice. Despite the fact website still showed both finishes avail in my size. I wrote Cust Serv and they replied they have adjusted their stock and now I can go ahead and place my order. I asked for the promo to be applied and they said it had expired! Very shady business practice from a legitimate brand. I can't believe they would do this to a customer. They essentially seem to have cancelled my orders bc they don't want me to use a promo code that was on their website - maybe they put it on mistakenly? But they won't honour it. Pretty gross. The boots were $355 before the $100 off. Order numbers: ****** placed Feb 16, order ****** placed Feb 26. ************* person who instructed me to place new order named *****, after checking stock. And told me to email to have the promo code applied. I would like them to make good on my order, including applying the promo code they had on their website. They've wasted my time.
