Striderites website makes the claim once an order has been placed it cant be canceled for any reason. My order was canceled by the company, and Im unable to get a response as to why. The item is still available on there website. I believe the issue is I used a coupon code, but this is a horrible business practice to allow me to purchase something at a price, and cancel the order because theyre unhappy with the price theyre selling the goods at. The documents attached only state I got a refund, but Im only receiving the refund because the order was canceled by striderite.Initial Complaint

Stride Rite charged me $24 for overnight shipping. I ordered shoes on April 3 and still haven't received the shoes. This is April 7. I paid a total of $84. My order number is: ******** The straps broke on my 6 year old daughter's old Stride Rite shoes and pieces of the sole are coming off even though she has only had them for 7 months and they still fit, so I needed to replace them so she has shoes to wear to school. I could have got free standard shipping from Stride Rite or $12 2 day shipping, but I chose the fastest at $24 because my daughter needed shoes immediately. If I had known it would take so long, I would have bought local or ordered from ****** or even *** ***** I would have already had the shoes if Stride Rite had been honest about their shipping. I attempted multiple times in multiple ways to contact Stride Rite. I finally got someone to chat with me this morning. She said the order wasn't processed until yesterday the 6th even though I placed it on the 3rd. Stride Rite said that the order will be processed in 1-2 days, but that is not what occurred. I want to be reimbursed or at least discounted my shipping costs. Stride Rite says they can't help. Customers should know that they don't stand behind their false shipping policy, not to mention the previous Stride Rite shoes falling apart before my child grew out of them. On 11/24 I bought a pair of sneakers from ******* (ORDER **********9 ). As soon as I put them on the shoes were sliding off the back of my feet even though the size was correct and they hurt the top of my foot so bad that if I wore them for 10 minutes and took them off, the top of my feet would hurt for the rest of the day. I kept trying to call ******* but couldnt get anyone on the phone so i wore them outside and almost gave up. Finally, I spoke with someone via chat on 12/8/2021 who said that I would have to fill out a defect form and send pictures which I did. I received an email that they couldn't do anything because I wore them outside. I only wore them outside because I couldnt reach anyone to speak with. I have bought alot of *******s and never had a bad pair like this. These sneakers are useless to me because they cause me extreme pain. I feel like I have been ripped off.Customer response

On December 30 I was trying to order a pair of Sperrys original boat shoes dark ***** size 4 I went on to the website, I chose big kids I scrolled down down to the Sperrys it said ***** I went in to buy them and put size 4 and it said $65 thats false advertising because I picked big kids to bring up all the shoes for big kids not little kids and big kids Ive been buying shoes at Stride Rite since you were *********************** and when I called to talk to someone about this they were extremely rude to me you need to fix your website and you need to fix your customer service. I dont even know if I can buy the shoes now because of the way Ive been treated, I wore these shoes when I was young I had my kids wear these shoes these boots shoes and now I want to get them for my grandchildren.Customer response

Bought a pair of boots at academy. In the box there is a sticker that says most comfortable guarantee. Says something to the tone of try the boots for 30 days and if you dont agree they are the most comfortable theyll give your money back. So I tried them and do not agree that they are comfortable. So I contacted them for a refund. Said it would have to be done under a defective return and since I bought them from academy an authorized dealer by the way I could only exchange them for another boot. They werent as comfortable as my other work boots so I dont want them at this point. They say they only refund if bought from their website when you contact them. Sticker in box says nothing about this it I never wouldve tried them. My boots are very comfortable but due to the nature of their claim I decided to give them a try. Dont understand how a huge cooperation can just go making bogus guarantees. I do have the receipt and original packaging.Customer response

Purchased a pair of womans clogs ICE-4 from MERRELL. They were due to arrive 02 Oct, delayed until 06 Oct.Delivered to incorrect address due to incomplete shipping label. Opened the white bag, to a box with shoes in tissue paper.....Right shoe looks fine, left shoe the fur lining is all irregular, appears that it was chewed on by rats or someone used scissors on it. The suede is all raw the texture is worn off. Called **************** 06 Oct and was told no problem that will send out a replacement pair and issue a label for me to send the defective pair back.Called today ****************************************************************** e-mail and a young woman initially stated they usually do not take back defective shoes- donate them.After quite some time waiting [28 minutes] while she checked with someone....she advised me that once they received the defective shoes back at that time they would send my replacement.......ARE YOU SERIOUS!
