I was sent the incorrect pair of shoes (they had the correct bag, but the wrong shoes inside). I messaged them and they immediately shipped a new pair express and they allowed me to keep the pair they had accidentally sent. Very happy with the customer service!Review from Matt W

Purchased the boots a while ago to use maybe once a year. Worn 3 time and the glue holding them together quit sticking together. I spent almost $200 on these boots for them to fall apart just walking in them. I contacted ******* online and nobody has replied to me at all. I would not recommend this company because they seem to not stand behind their products..at least as of yet. Been a loyal customer for years and have purchased maybe 10 pairs of Merrell shoes. Quality does not seem to be what it used to be.Review from Barbara P

I was very disappointed with the customer service of their online retail store. I ordered a pair of school shoes for my daughter to be mailed to the house. They have a wide shipping window with no option to choose a shipping date (so that you can be sure to be home to receive the package). Needless to say, the package was left at the door and stolen before I even knew it was there. I emailed their customer service to report this with no reply, tried their chat with no reply, and eventually was able to get someone on the phone at their customer service. This person was marginally rude to me, said there was nothing they could do but that they would escalate it to their supervisor and I would get a call back within an hour. No call received. While I understand that not every company will be able to have a generous lost package policy, I don't appreciate being given the run around and made to feel like I'm in the wrong. In the future, I would never run the risk of ordering directly from Stride Rite again, especially when the same shoes are available from other vendors with better customer service.Review from LISA E

I ordered directly from them online and had issues with an insole in our toddler's shoe falling out and getting torn up on the first use. I have used their Contact Us web page to ask for help with this and with three emails sent over two months haven't received a single response. The "chat with us" box on their website says "usually responds within a few minutes" but I don't get any response there either. I expect a response in a timely manner when a company offers "contact us" links and I use them.Review from Victor R

Absolutely the rudest customer service reps ever! Even worse than cell phone carriers and that's hard to accomplish. We were sent the wrong shoe so I tried starting a chat. 1 hour later and still nothing so in the meantime, I contacted their 800# and called twice. Both reps were VERY rude with me hanging up on the second lady. So here I am sending an email like they advised me to do and wait up to 48 hours for a response. Then, you have to wait 2-3 weeks to process. How about, call me crazy, you send the right item the first time and not put customers through all this hassle. I've managed to stay away from this overrated company but had to go with them for soccer cleats for our 4 year old. This is definitely the last time I shop with them.Review from Shannon S

Its criminal what they are doing by holding your money in hopes you wont check your credit card for the return credit. They will not issue a refund after receiving your mech back unless you follow up with them! Its happened 3 separate times now to **..I gave them the benefit of doubt the first time but after two more times *** realized its intent. They send you a return shipping label and thankfully I had the tracking numbers to prove they received the returns back, because after a month or so of not getting a credit back and I call, they claim they had a computer glitch but can suddenly on the spot issue a refund. On 3 separate occasions! They are hoping you wont check for your refund and Im sure they get away with it a lot.Review from Penelope A

Bait and Switch! Not a trust worthy company! I was supposed to get flash sale prices of $14.95 but once in the cart the price changed to full price. I couldn't get them on the live chat after 45 minutes. I didn't want to lose the deal so i found a 25% off promo and made the purchase in the meantime. I called them a few days later and they said basically, too bad, sale is over! They told me to send an email. I had sent several chat messages including a screenshot of the $14.95 clearance sale banner. To make a long story short, I've made about 6 calls to these people from November 27th to January 20th, at least 2 emails, 3 chat messages, and the end result is too bad. I saw 1 attempt of them calling me back but they disconnected the call before I could answer which meant they didn't even want to leave me a message. They just didn't try to honor their systems mistake at all. I'm shipping back 3 of the shoes but I don't trust them at all. They claim it's a free return but I can't trust them. Frankly I'm scared to ship back and end up with no shoes and no refund. A very crooked company with very poor outsourced (outside of *******) customer service. I have to keep 2 pairs... 1 pair was calculated correct and was final sale and the 2nd pair were dress shoes my son needed for the holidays and had to wear, otherwise they deserve ALL the shoes back and the entire order cancelled! Beware of Bait and Switch and No Empathy. This is a cold, callus company.Review from Caitlin F

VERY SLOW TO ISSUE REFUNDS. Love Stride Rite shoes for my kiddo, but I've had two frustrating experiences recently concerning refunds of returned items. In one case the package had been returned on October 3 (I saw receipt was confirmed on the tracking log), but I had to follow up today (12/1) to inquire about my refund as it has still not been issued. The customer service rep claimed it was because they didn't have the tracking information to confirm that they received the item, which I find odd considering that they are the ones who issued the return label. (??) The fact that this has happened twice in the past 4 months makes me question whether they are holding onto money for as long as possible until customers follow up about their refund. If so, YIKES. I will say that when I have followed up with customer service, the refund has been issued promptly.
