Sunday, December 31st, 2023 *************************, Chief ******************************************** 5th Floor ***************** **** House ********************************************************* GB Very Serious Complaint Against ****!I have been a Legitimate Advertiser On ************* For Over 10 + Years and Have Held The Same House Address Ever ************* Caused Any Such Problems On Spareroom Ever!We have even received some tenants through Spareoom in the Past and they are Very Good Ones Coming Through Here!I just contacted Spareroom to Update My Cellular Phone ********** Received an Email Back stating It Was Updated!within a few days or so, I start to get Harassing Emails Coming From **** Over The Kitchen Facilities!when you are Renting Just Private Rooms which is What Your Website Is All About, I Did Not Know After Ten (10) Such Years that Full Kitchens Are Required In The Private Rooms?**** has been Seriously *********************** ME And Pulling My Ten (10) Year + Legitimate Private Room Advertisement because the Ad Did Say Kitchenette!I think she is Totally Confused!Your Website Is For Private Rooms To Rent Out? Is That Not Correct?That Is What I Am Renting Out!My House Has Full Access To The Kitchen!Whoever Heard Of A House Without Access To A Full Kitchen?Her ******************** Towards Me For Being A Very ****************** Advertiser On Spareroom For Such A Very Long Period Of Time is Beyond ********************************* Especially To Do This Towards A Good, Honest, Legitimate, Innocent Person One (1) Day Before The New Year **** Arrives Makes Me Feel Very Angry, Sad, ****************** To Say The Very Least!Regarding Full Kitchens In My Home, Am I Supposed To Provide The Cooking Details Since My Full Kitchens All Have Sinks, Stoves, Etc. In My Advertisement?I Honestly Did NOT Know That Was A Requirement In Private Room Rental Advertisements On Spareroom?Why Am I Getting Negative, Special ****************** Else Is Being Treated In The Same Way?Business response

I understand youve made a report to the BBB regarding your recent experience with *************. This report was made before you received an initial response from us regarding your complaint, however, we only received notification of this report after we had already been in contact with you directly. Whilst we have already resolved this matter with you, in the interest of clarity, I have included a summary of our response to your complaint below.
My colleague noticed that your advert stated there was no kitchen. As we normally require advertisers to provide kitchen access in residential accommodation, they temporarily expired your advert and emailed you as we needed clarification on the facilities that were available to occupants. Its vital to us that we provide a great service to all of our users and so its really important that we check up on things like this. Please rest assured that this is our standard procedure and we would take the same actions with any advert that mentioned there was no kitchen. Once we had received your response to confirm that kitchen access was provided, your advert was immediately re-instated. Despite us acting fully in accordance with our terms and following our standard procedure, a gesture of goodwill was added to your account in recognition of the fact that you are a long term user.
