      I was asked by ***************************** to put $4,000 into an escrow account to attain a consolidation loan, the money was paid in full on February 9,2024 of which I have proof. No contracts were ever sent or signed and no loan was ever received, I have made several attempts and have asked for a full refund for services never rendered. I have gotten the run around for 3 months with promises to pay and lies about money being sent via Zelle and by mail. I also have several texts promising to pay. I wish to file this complaint against American Accounting services Inc., staff and owner.

      ******************************* is 100% correct she was charged $4000 for a fee for a service that we attempted to engage with via a third-party which She was not approved for.

      We have sent refunds via Zelle and check. Our office is closed until next week however, when we do open next week, we will provide evidence to support our claim.

      After this is settled, we hope we can continue serving ******************************* as she is a dear client of ours. Thank you.

      Fall of 2020 to current hired to help with back taxes "***"Said they filed appeal and taxes and they didn't which I a paid for and now i have to start over and have been penalized. I hired ******** in the fall of 2020 to help me with get my taxes straightened out with the **** I had had many years of medical issues along with losing my home, moving around a lot. I fell on some really bad times, but I really needed get this straightened out. I had to refinance my car and take out another small loan to pay for this but was determined to get back on track. We sent in the offer in compromise *** and I have been making payments regularly since. $83.33 it was only supposed to be for two years. In June of 2022 I got a rejection letter from the *** *** centralized office. I contacted *** he said he would appeal. He also told me that he had to file my taxes, because I had an *** in place, which I had to pay him every year to do. I have not been able to reach *** and his website was not working for months so I decided to contact the lady from the *** office myself. She informed me that I dont have an *** in place the appeal had not been filed which I paid for and that my 2022 and 2023 were not filed. Not only did they lie to me they stole money from to do things they said they were doing, which I have emails stating they said they were doing. Please advise. Just notify other folks to be aware. When I told the lady at the *** said she hears this all the time. When you are trying to make things right and some takes advantage of you. Bad manners!!!

      American Accounting Services Inc. has continued to lie to me and misrepresent what they were doing with the **** They were incompetent in preparing my 2001 tax returns and has not contacted the *** as they said. I have written proof of our conversations as well as recorded phone calls. I dont what this CPA and company to hurt others in the future.I still have not received information since my last follow up with the **** They have done nothing with the *** (according to the *** agents) to fix my situation as they stated. They have lied consistently and cannot produce evidence to back up their claims.

      * In 2022, I hired American Accounting Services *** to prepare my 2021 federal and ******** returns. That took place as expected.* April 24, 2023: I noticed that their 2021 filing was missing a page, and asked them to prepare amended federal and state returns.* July 18, 2023: Upon preparing the amendments, *** said I owed an extra $2,201 to the *** and an extra $532 to the CA FTB, as a result of the amendment (evidently my liability increased), but that AAS could reduce it to $3,412.12 in total (the split between the agencies not specified) if I paid through them. They said they were part of a program that worked with the tax agencies to collect debts. They included wiring instructions; I wired them the money, and sent a screenshot of the transaction.* September 12, 2023: I saw in my *** online account that their payment of $2,201 failed. (Not sure why they attempted to pay $2,201, rather than the reduced amount they mentioned. Also not sure why they marked it for 2022, rather than 2021.)* December 4, 2023: My CA FTB online account still shows no payments in the vicinity of $500 for 2021 (or 2022 for that matter).* October 2023: Having pointed out that none of the $3,412.12 was forwarded to either tax agency, they claimed I would be refunded, but instead they ghosted me.

      At this time, I have been contacted directly by American Accounting Services Inc. regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      On Tuesday, Dec 5, hours after I filed the complaint, the business wrote me to say they were out of the office but could resolve the issue that Friday. A week later, after no further communications from them, I wrote a follow-up, asking for a status update, and have still heard nothing.

      I wish to bring to your attention a concerning incident involving my tax return for the year 2022.Accountant's Tenure: I have been using the services of ***************************** for the past four years.Anticipated Refund: For the year 2022, I was expecting a significant refund.Discrepancy Noticed: When the refund did not arrive as anticipated, I reached out to *****************************. He informed me that I should have already received the refund.No Record with IRS: Concerned by this discrepancy, I contacted the **** who informed me that they had no record of my tax return for 2022.Preparer's Confirmation: Upon asking for confirmation from *****************************, he provided a document claiming my return was efiled on 3/14. This information contradicted the feedback I received from the ****Evidence of Misconduct: From the details and evidence I have gathered, it appears that ***************************** did not actually submit my return to the **** Moreover, the document he provided as 'proof' of e-filing seems to be fabricated.I believe it is crucial for everyone to be informed of this potential misconduct. I have retained all pertinent documents, email correspondence, and text conversations and am prepared to provide them upon request.Thank you for your attention to this matter.       Please allow us to respond to this poor review. The word you should keep in mind is extortion. ************** demanded $40K - $80K, because the *** did not receive his returns electronically. To make sure he would not be in ***** way we overnighted his returns, to the address he provided, so that he could sign a physical return and receive his refund. Because he did not receive his refund, in the amount of time he demanded, which we do not control, only the *** does, he threatened to make trouble if we did not pay him the amount he requested. To anyone who is reasonable and sane, you can immediately conclude,based on his behavior, and demands, that he is targeting small businesses. His claims are grossly false and statements are nothing short but slanderous.  We deal with the public on a daily basis and serve hundreds of clients without issue. Every so often, when dealing with the public, an individual such as ************** seeks an opportunity. Anyone can say anything on the internet as its the world we live in.

      The business made no attempt to resolve the dispute or even respond to the factual statements that he fabricated a document in order to make me believe he filed my taxes, when he did not. This man should be in prison and should never be allowed to do anyones taxes ever again.

      I found this service online & spoke with ***************************** to try to help me and my wife of a 220k tax bill. The agreement was I was to initially pay $15,000 to start an *** agreement, and if we had the *** offer rejected. That we would have the money back to pay my IRS bill. He reached saying he was in contact with the **** and he could possibly settle the debt with an additional $24,000 payment he would place in escrow. I would need the entire $39000 refunded ** because the *** offer was rejected & the money that was given we are entitled for a refund because of the outstanding Tax bill we still owe. After some time, we received the info he provided wasn't valid and the date expired and stated we needed to restart the process, in which at this time we had a lien on our home and numerous of letters from the **** *** asked if he could submit it again and I told him just give me my money back as promised because all things he promised wasn't true. After some time of ************* he kept stating they're short staffed and he would email a summary. He never did. After weeks he finally mailed me a check for $10,000, which he stated would be the first of 2 payments. The check bounce because of insufficient funds, which lead us to be charged $18 from my bank. He asked me if I could redeposit the ****** **** bank advised us not. I requested *** that he wires the funds back to me, I initiation wired the funds to him. He stated the money was in *********** had to wait for the funds to be released back to his account. He then stated he would just pay from his personal account to pay us back the $39,000. I sent him numerous of emails, he has not returned any of my calls I told him I would get a lawyer after him not returning any of my calls or emails and he assured he was not trying to scam me. How ever now it's been almost 5mths and no call, no email and he still didn't give us any of our money back or tried to contact us. I will need a full refund for this to be remedied.

      please be advised this response originates from our legal team. This client is currently engaged in a meeting today actually to discuss what he believes he is entitled to. He is correct with his complaint after the tax season is over we are not fully staffed and we do our best to contact our clients in a timely manner. This current client signed a legal agreement and has asked for us to make an exception to the agreement they signed. We have consulted with this client, and although his first offer was rejected it is not common to continuously submit an offer because the outcome can change this. Client did not want to take our advice as he has  retained us for our know how. Nevertheless, we do not like anyone to submit a complaint will feel as if they are not being heard and this is why we have a meeting with his family today and Im sure everything will get worked out.
