My husband went to the doctor because his leg was swollen. The doctor sent him to get a leg doppler stat. The leg doppler showed he had a blood clot in his leg, so the doctor requested since it was late in the day to go to the *** We went to the ** and arrived at 3:30 pm and was told I am not sure why you were sent to the **, your doctors office could do the same thing we are going to do. I said they do not have a lab to get immediate results, and that is what our doctor said when he called the Emergency room. We sat in the hallway as you first walk in and we were there for 3 hours. Not once did anyone look at his leg and when I asked how large the blood clot was or where it was located, they said they did not know, I told them the test was done at ****** ****** ******* can you look up the results since you are affiliated with them, and was told no. So I proceeded to call ******************* ********* and asked them to fax the information to the hospital, and when I told the PA that, she said its really not going to change anything and we really did not need the results. For the 3 hours we were there we sat in the hallway right in side the entrance to the **, and we maybe saw someone for 10 to 15 mins tops, the whole time we were there. I called and made a complaint and was told one of the higher *** would call me and I never heard anything. Until I received a **** for my co-pay of $150.00 and they charged my insurance company $2,129.00, for them to run blood work and take his blood pressure when we first arrived and then give him a blood thinner. I will NEVER go to this hospital again and I will never recommend it. I will drive an extra half hour before I set foot in there.
