      Capuson was contracted to complete a garage, siding, and soffits back at the end of October 2022. It took months to get the garage up which we understood due to the weather. But on 3/24 they did the siding and said once roof on they’ll be back to finish soffits. After roof went up early may we contacted him to finish his contractual agreement. Collin said he be back around after 5/21. The first Thursday no one showed up and he said the next Thursday. Then again no one showed up and he said he would be back the week after. On Wednesday tried to contact him and Collin failed to reply for over a week and a half. He has since seized communications and said get someone else. Now it will cost an extra 4 to 5 hundred out of pocket to finish the agreed upon work

      BBB spoke to Colin and the following was relayed: I stepped in after 2 other contractors bailed on the job because they could not work with her.  I stepped in to complete the job for her.  I did what she paid for and what I was originally supposed to do.  But then she hired an Amish company to put on a metal roof and now she wants me to come back and I can't go back.  I'm not going back.  She broke the contract when she put on that style roof.  It would cost me more than what we agreed on because I would have to get different supplies.  And my guys won't go back to her house.  I don't want to disparage her name and publish why the other 2 contractors couldn't deal with her and why I'm not going back, even though she blasted me all over Facebook so I should-- but I'm not going back.  Can't go back.  Thanks.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The style of the roof on the garage was never discussed. He never put in the contract the type of roof to put on. After the roof was out on, he was still in contact with us about coming out to finish up. I have all the texts post roof install. Plus someone came out and finished up the soffets and charged 400 to finish. There was nothing more than taking out a few screws to put the soffets up. Colin has not been a professional one bit the way he had handled this matter.   Consumer attached copies of contract.  The contract was never broken based on type of roof installed. Not in contract.       Hired Capuson to do a remodel project. Paid a $2900 deposit that we were told was going to be used to secure subcontractors. Fast forward, delays, price increases, poor communication and he no longer could do our project for the price we were quoted. We decided not to move forward with the project and requested our deposit back, as he never secured subcontractors, nor did he secure a date with us to begin the project. Collin stated he'd only return $1500 of the deposit because he put effort into trying to quote our job. I have, in writing, that we should have recieved our $1500 within 60 days. It's been 148 days and he has since made several excuses and then blocked my phone number and has yet to return my deposit.

      I contacted Capson on 8/26/2021 to inquire about getting our garage remodeled. I asked if they were available to do the job early September. I was told by Collin, owner that he could fit us in. All I had to do was put down a $500 deposit so I could be put on the schedule. I went to the office on 8/27 to put a $500 deposit in cash. I met with Linda his mom, and she gave me a contract. I asked her when we would be put on the schedule, and she said that Collin does that. On 8/30 I messaged Collin to ask when we would be put on the schedule, he said he would call me the next day. I messaged Collin on 9/2 to ask him to call me since I hadn't heard from him. Collin messaged me on 9/3 making an appointment for 9/6 at 3:30. Collin didn't show up for this appointment because it was a holiday and the office was closed. Collin came out 9/7 to look at our garage to gauge the work needed. I contacted Collin on 9/9, and 9/13 to see if we had been added to the schedule. He messaged me on 9/13 to say that our schedule date was Oct. 5. No one showed. I called and Collin said he moved it to Oct.6 because of my son's birthday. Oct. 6 no one showed. I got a phone call Oct.6 saying our project was moved to next week Oct. 13. I messaged Collin on Oct. 13 10:55am to let him know that we were no longer interested because no one had showed up to work, and we hadn't received a call. I asked for my deposit back. Collin messaged me 10/13 1:17pm to let me know that he would have his mom call me. Oct.19 I called the office no one picked up the phone, so I left a message. 10/27, 10/31, I messaged Collin about deposit. Collin messaged me 10/31 7:45pm to say that we wouldn't get our deposit back because we cancelled the project. Collin had poor communication throughout, and only made excuses for not showing up.
