            My wife and I contracted Randall Woodworks in November 2021 to build and install built-in cabinetry in our new mudroom and surrounding the fireplace. Mr. Randall came out twice to measure and stated that he would build the units and have them ready when we moved into our new house. This was to be for a March move in. The closing was delayed until June and he didn't have the cabinetry ready at that time. He finally came out at the end of July to install, but he had measured incorrectly and could not install the units around the fireplace. He did install the base in the mudroom, but it was the wrong color and he didn't bring the doors or drawers for it. Since then, he has promised to come out and complete the work several different times, but has "no showed" frequently, lied about the units being complete, and used many different excuses as to why.

            We signed an agreement on 9/11/22 with Randall Woodworks to build two bookshelves at our home. The cost was $4,800 and $2,400 was given to him as a down payment. He provided renderings of the project. He said he was busy, but would have them installed by December of 2022. In December we contacted him for a definite install date. He said his workshop sustained storm damage and he had to move. He said we would have the project completed by February of 2023. Not hearing from him, I contacted him on 4/18/2023 and he apologized saying he was having some health problems. He said he would have them installed by 4/27. On 4/26 he cancelled and we rescheduled for 5/03/23. On 5/2 I called to reconfirm and left two voicemails with no return. I then placed calls with voicemails on 5/05, 5/08, 5/10, 5/15 with no return. Finally on 5/18 I left a voicemail asking for our deposit back. No return. My next plan is to file a Small Claims Court petition for the money.
