On 5/13/22, I received a 2nd gluteal cupping therapy at Luxe Body Sculpts. After the procedure, I decided to make an appointment while I was there for a 3rd therapy. The merchant does not require or demand a payment or deposit for an appointment, but I paid up front as a convenience. My **** of America card was charged for $293.45. After a couple of days, I noticed my glute muscles were not healing. I was in pain and decided to see my primary care physician. The doctor recommended that I not get another therapy or any other services from this merchant. She also wrote a brief note to provide for the merchant. I cancelled the appointment with Luxe 3 days in advance so as not to cause the merchant an inconvenience. I requested a refund via text message. She says she doesn't refund unused services. But according to the merchant literature this policy only applies to clients who purchase package deals that require total payment even if the client doesn't use the whole package of therapy. I didn't purchase a package and paid per therapy at the time of services rendered. Paying before the appt was a courtesy I extended to the merchant. The merchant would have made the appt even if I didn't pay in advance and I would have cancelled with no issues. Since then I had to go to physical therapy as a result of the suction therapy which according to my physical therapist, the 40 minute suction duration was probably too intense and too long and caused hamstring and gluteal atrophy. Eventually, the merchant sent me an email stating that Luxe Body Sculpts would refund the total of $293.45 in July 2022. It is now August 9th and no refund. I do not want her business to fail, I just want monies for services not rendered. The merchant offered other services for equal amount, but as a responsible consumer, I will listen to my doctor and not go back. I provided all the documents for the above stated.
