      On 10/15/22, C. Hall Renovations was hired to rebuild the kitchen and paint 5 other rooms of my house after a kitchen fire had occurred in 7/13/22. My 13-year old son and I were relocated to the ******* *** on 7/15/22. A $15K check was written to C. Hall Renovations 11/07 to purchase the cabinets from ******. After 2 weeks of nothing happening, I got suspicious I was being scammed because the cabinets never got ordered. I was advised to try to get work done (insulation and dry wall for the kitchen), and the appliances purchased, for my $15K I had paid Chad. After giving me the run around, he ordered the appliances (stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher (total: $4,900.00)). On 11/22 Chad told me he had ordered these and delivery would be 11/23. I stayed home for this delivery which never came. Due to the involvement of a ****** employee with Chad (who facilitated the long delay with the delivery), I was forced to contact ****** fraud dept. to help me obtain the appliances. The appliances finally arrived 12/22 due to the involvement of ****** ***** ****. I insisted on getting more for my $15K and after a few conversations, C. Hall tried to pacify me by installing a few panels of drywall up in the kitchen (never finishing), he claimed he needed 13K more to finish the insulation + drywall in the kitchen. The few panels he put up were installed incorrectly and will need to be removed for electrical inspection. His work habits were so erratic that I installed a camera in my home to monitor their progress. Footage showed minimal hours of work with little accomplished, and what was done, was done very poorly. A building permit was never obtained. My son and I have spent 6 months in a hotel, only to move back to a construction zone. Currently, C. Hall claims he needs more money to finish the dry wall in the kitchen and clean up the construction debris and says he won’t work with a camera in the house. He has not upheld the agreements in our contract:

      see attached.  transcribed below.  see attached from business: I am shocked at how many untrue statements are in this report ex ***** doesn’t conspire with contractors to delay appliances. as you can see from texts submitted by customer, I bent over backwards to get the appliances there as fast as I possibly could. could. The customer gave me a deposit well after I started working on the project and said it would cover the purchase of cabinets. When I sat down at *****, I discovered that he had done a design that was all wrong and I worked to correct it.The deposit he gave me was not enough to purchase the cabinets he selected so i asked if we could get appliances and some materials to get the kitchen insulated so he didn't have pipes freeze and burst on him and he agreed.When there was a slight delay in the delivery the customer became very hostile with both myself and the people who work at ****** his behavior became very strange he installed a camera to watch us which I found odd to say the least. I got the old rotten floor out and replaced the subfloor we insulated his kitchen i figured out why his heat wasn’t working in the kitchen removed a sliding glass door and reinstalled it to get his fridge in the house all so i could get him home to eat Christmas dinner at home and the customer seemed very pleased once the insurance company accepted my bid (well after i started the job ) i was preparing to pay ***** for cabinets and other contractors for their part of the job when i randomly got a text stating he may look for someone else. When I sat down with him to discuss it he explained he thought it could all be done cheaper and he was going to collect quotes from other contractors.in seven years of business i have never had anything like this happen and learned a very hard lesson on this project in the end of the day when the customer got the check for the work he wanted to keep some of the money and backed out to find cheaper contractors i tried everything i could to appease the customer and move the project forward after all the add on work i did for him on top of the work completed the customer would still owe me money after materials/appliances and labor for what was done for the customer  i have many customers who could verify that i do quality work for a fair price and go above and beyond for my customers which i did on this project . i take great pride in what i do and all the happy customers i have built over the years i wish this customer the best even though my name is being slandered.    Chad H***  C.Hall Renovations
