      dropped off my **** **** for repair. the shop has had my vehicle for over 2months. paid $900.00 for a repair that did not fix the problem. they will not return my calls, will not fix the vehicle and will not refund my money.

      BBB spoke to the owner of the business and the following was relayed: He brought in the truck, we ran the scanner on it.  The scanner popped up a bunch of codes.  We went through and made repairs one code at a time.  We also put a 4WD actuator in it for him as he requested.  The truck needed a software update, we sent it out to get that done for him.  That was the last thing needed to take care of all the codes.  I will send BBB the invoice, it was about $500 in parts alone.  We made the repairs necessary according to the codes and stanby our work.  Customer was charged accordingly.  I've been in business for 30 years and have never had a BBB complaint before.  I standby our work.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  yes supposedly repairs were performed and i was charged $900.00  i drove the vehicle home and noticed it had the exact same issues, same codes, that they were supposed to have fixed. i contacted the owner, he stated to bring it back and he would look into it. that was may 29th. hospital or no hospital, the owner has ever contacted me one by phone since i originally dropped it off for repairs back on march 26th. i have called every week for 3 and half month for update. the vehicle is still not repaired and i have NOT received any refund.  Apon further investigation, several other customers have experienced similar issues with repairs at his shop and Lawrence is also under investigation by NYS for false vehicle inspections. i have tried contacting him to resolve this matter with my repair or bill and he will NOT respond back. i plan on filling for criminal action if this can't get resolved  Regards,  ***** ******

      BBB spoke to the business owner and the following was relayed: We were willing to work with him, had him back in.  I was in the hospital after getting hit by a car for a couple months.  As soon as I got out, I started taking care of things again.  We had this customer in here, trying to work with him but last week- I turned my back and he stole a part and drove off.  I was forced to call the police, they came did a report.  The police and I tried getting this guy to come back with the stolen part but he didn't.  So now there is an arrest warrant out for him.  What more can I do?

      The truck was there for almost 4 months he gave little to no attempt to call me or resolve the matter the bike accident wasn't until June 13th I tried contacting him multiple times prior and after his accident I finally made one last attempt by stopping in person to see if he would refund partial payment or fix the truck he refused to do either he stated if I know so much about it why don't I just fix it with total disregard that I paid him to do the job and said there's the part it needs and I said I'll put it in myself Regards,  ***** ******

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   Hello to answer your question no I have not paid any more additional money to the business for parts or service.  Since the part was ordered for my vehicle but never installed and Lawrence still owed me almost a thousand for work never performed, I considered it payment and I will rectify the vehicle repair myself.   Regards, ***** ******
