I have been scammed by travel resorts of america.. for years ive been trying to get out of this.. we have tried over and over again to cancel the membership and they would not allow us to. they continue to pile on fees as well as an additional 500 for pandemic fees, which were never agreed to. they have now made things impossible to pay, refuse to help cancel and now they are now trying to sue us . they used sales tactics to bend the truth in what we were buying. we have been lied to. they continue to scam

Thank you for this opportunity to respond to your concerns. You purchased your membership on July 21, 2019,
and this complaint is the first cancellation request we have received. All communications between you and TRA
have been regarding your membership account loan and maintenance fees.
Our records indicate on 12/6/21 a charge for a COVID fee of $79 not $500. Could the maintenance fee of
$570.36 paid quarterly have been confused with the COVID fee? The COVID fee was never paid and as of
3/17/22 were reversed. As of July 2022, the collection of your account is no longer being done by Travel Resorts
of America as it has been turned over to a third party collector due to your last loan payment date of Oct 2021.
Should you need contact information regarding the third party collectors managing your account, please reach
out to our Collections Department at ###-###-####.
Our records indicate your membership had been in good standing previously, which enabled you to utilize your
membership in September 2019 and July 2020. Once your membership loan and maintenance fees are paid and
in good standing, we will be able to continue to assist you in using your membership to the fullest.
Member Services is here to assist you in using your membership as intended to get you back on vacation once
current. There are several methods to connect with our Member Services team. You may call us at 1-********
****, email us at ******************************* or you can live chat us on our website at

      Sincerely,

We invited to come and take a look at the campgrounds and then were convinced by the sales team to purchase the membership. We were told that we could get reservations whenever we wanted to come and visit. We have been trying since we got the membership in may. We could not log into the sited to reserve and we also would call multiple times to try and get a spot but we kept getting told that there were no sites available and would have to be put on a wait list.By the luck of a draw there was a cancellation and we were able to get that site. but we continue to try and book sites and we keep getting told still that there is nothing available and that we will be put on a weight list. We have also been told by the company that our camper is too big and it can not be accomodated. There for we are paying for something that we can not use or accomodate us. We would like our season refunded and our membership cancelled since We can not be accomodated for the size of our camper. We have talked to our sales agent who kept saying he would look in to it.

Thank you for this opportunity to respond to your concerns. First let me clear up any miscommunication regarding the size of your RV. Please be assured, our resorts are more than equipped to accommodate the size of your RV. I also see that the technical difficulties you had with your login were resolved in July 2022, once we were informed of the issue. A Member Services representative will be contacting you regarding your reservation concerns and cancellation request. We look forward to resolving this matter.
