      In 2019, I bought blinds for my entire house, all Hunter Douglas. Two of the blinds I purchased were Powerview, these blinds cannot be reached by either my husband or myself. The remote no longer worked, so I replaced the battery in the stone. After replacing the battery in the stone, they still did not go up and down. I call ** ****** the company I purchased them through, who referred me to Custom Decorating, who referred me to Powerview ************* , who referred me to Hunter Douglas, who referred me to JCP, who referred me to ******************* All of these people want me to climb 10 feet disconnect a blind, find a number just so they can help me. We cant do that, or we would have already changed the battery in the blind. I cant get anyone out here to even look at them. My husband wants me to go to ********** and just replace the blind with a manual one, that will have to have a long cord. I have spent over 3 hours just on the phone trying to resolve this problem.

      I apologize for the frustration. It does sound like the batteries in the shades need to be changed. Hunter Douglas doesn't offer repair or installation services directly. Since you purchased through JCP you will need to work with another local dealer to see if they can assist you with changing the batteries.       we had a living room blind installed by Beauitful Windows by ******* 8/20/15, the spring snapped and had repaired 2/15/20.some problem happen 4/23 got no response from *******,called Hunter-Douglas number of times e/mailed a number of times with no results. Hunter -Douglas srvice **** seems to ignore all calls and e/mails for the last past 3 weeks.....i think Hunter-Douglas should stand by their products!!!! and not ignore customers complaint

      I absolutely am beyond frustrated with my top down bottom up blinds. I have a few different styles throughout my home and am dissatisfied with all 3 types. We purchased 5 years ago and spent thousands. They dont work and are always crooked. Some of them wont even go up or stay up anymore ughhhh. *** tried the key and am frustrated.

      I have palm beach shutters installed a year ago in January 2021, and they sag. I called the company I bought it from which is ***** ****** ****** (****) and they said they will have the 2 panels that I said are very visibly sagging. I said it's not going to fix it because it's the material. ***** ****** ****** said it's all they can do. They also said they will have the 2 panels replaced. I said I need someone to help me assess all the other windows and help in holding the straight edge up while I measure the sag. They did not say anything about helping. So I called Hunter douglas and they said that I have to work with whoever I bought it from. I argued it's not an installer problem, but a material problem. I added that no matter how many times I have them replaced, the sag will be there. In the end, the Hunter douglas rep said she will have her supervisor call me back within 36 hours. Well, it's been a week and no one has called me back. Meanwhile, the new panels came, but before the installers put the new ones in, I took a straight edge, or ruler and showed them the sag. These are new panels. Since they are just installers and don't deal with manufacturer issues, I had the panels installed. It's the product that's the problem. It does NOT work. The warranty says it does not warp or deform, but they do. They are of inferior material. Hunter douglas' claim of their product being durable is false. It is a cheap product. Still, I paid a lot of money to get it, and now Hunter Douglas won't even work with me. I will continue to write about this, no matter how long it takes, so no one else will get this inferior product. Had I known, I never would have bought these shutters.

      I would like to make everyone aware if they are considering purchasing the Hunter Douglas remote blinds to consider another option. We purchased the remote blinds thinking it would be wonderful. No one told us that each blind has a wand with 12 batteries that need to be replaced occasionally. Hunter recommends that you don't use lithium batteries in these blinds. The Power view remote has a poor design which makes it impossible to open the small cover to replace the battery. I have tried screwdrivers, a dime, my fingers with no success of opening it due to its poor design. For all of the money we invested in these blinds, we are very disappointed. When I called customer service the woman couldn't help me with opening the remote and basically just told me that she's sorry. So, the actual ******************** but they have issues with their mechanics if you purchase the remote option. I'm disappointed they won't send me a new remote with a battery.
