************** provided an estimate to replace/repave our driveway, replace our walkway, refurbish our front steps, overhaul and repair the drainage in our backyard, and power wash/repair our patio. Prior to contracting with him, I asked if he was a licensed Westchester contractor. He said that he was and, in mid-April 2023, he gave me a license certificate as proof. On April 25, 2023, I signed a contract with him for $16,000, which was later increased to $18,200. I now understand that ************** lied to me and that his Westchester County license was revoked in September ******* is also now clear that ************** also misrepresented his ability to perform the work. Indeed, ************** said that he was an experienced, well- equipped contractor. In reality, he is neither. Problems appeared almost as soon as he began work. He did not maintain consistent hours, his staff were not properly equipped or trained, he was not present to supervise, and the job quickly went off schedule. The resulting work is worthless. It will all need to be torn out and replaced. The driveway he repaved just weeks ago is already failing. *** asked other paving and masonry contractors to inspect the work. Each told me that *** ****** is some of the worst paving and ***** work they''ve ever seen. I have been advised that the paving is unsalvageable and will need to be torn out and redone. ************** has been working on my front steps for at least 5-6 weeks (on a job that he said would take 2 weeks to do). As with the driveway, the work is faulty and worthless. I have tried to address the deficient work with **************. These efforts have been unsuccessful. Every time I raise questions or point out glaring faults, he insists there are no problems and the work has been done correctly. It most certainly has not been.We have paid ************** $15,700 at this point. In exchange for that money which I never would have paid him if he did not lie to me about having a license we have received nothing of value.Customer response

Good day,My husband Sander and I entered into a contract with ************** on September 15, 2021. ( I have a copy of the contract and check). The contract was for ************** to redo our driveway, build a retaining wall at the back of the house, build stairs at the side of the house and build another wall as support for kids playground. This work, we all agreed, to be done for $30,000. Timing 3 weeks. He asked for upfront money. My husband felt that he had to buy materials and stuff (I didn't want to), and we gave him $20,000 upfront. It took him a week before he started any work. Then he stated to come. Dug out the drive way and left a mess. Started to bring workers to build the wall. they would come and then stop. My husband would call him and remind him about work to be done. Then he starts with excuses that "it is raining", "someone is sick", "i need to get materials", "my workers are not coming" and so on. and the more he became unreliable the more frustrated we became. drive way open, dirt coming in the house, kids getting dirty and bringing it inside. then his workers weren't doing the job the way we wanted done. We said to put the drain pipe and they put it midway up the wall instead of at the bottom back on the wall. We wanted certain blocks on top of the stairs they would put something else. the stair that they build, we don't' even think is save and by code, treads are different size and holes on the sides. We asked him we want the money back halfway and called **************** But of course he just goes away and don't pick up the phone. We figured maybe if we push him to do work worth the $20,000 and then just don't bother with him anymore. Impossible! call him everyday all day and ask him to come and work. 3 moths into it and drive way is not done. It is getting cold and you can't pour blacktop now. My husband call him to come to the house and meet 12/1. ************** had the edacity to ask my husband for more money if we want the drive way done!?Customer response
