Hired *** to conduct the annual service of my central ac unit (which they installed). Installation went semi-smooth. They did have to come back and fix something because the install was not done correctly the first time, but we got thru it. *** quoted me $500 for the annual service which included new filter, uv bulb and clean and lube all appropriate parts. They did the work and left ---Bulb and filter warnings both read at below 100% immediately after work was completed. Then I received a bill for $718.00 for the work. I called hoping to get an explanation of the bill. Never received a call back hence never paid the bill. Eventually, an employee named ******* started making collection calls to me. I answered and explained the two issues: 1. I was quoted $500 and 2. The work was not done correctly. Why would I pay over $200 more than what I was quoted especially when it wasn't done correctly? Enclosed are 2 emails stating the price is the price and they would be happy to fix the problem at the $700 price tag. I said no thank you. Fix the problem and honor your quote and I will be happy to pay you. The second email states they would accept $500 for payment but charge me to come back and fix their error. Once again I said no thank you. That's when I determined I am working with an unethical/dishonest business and I stopped responding to any calls/emails. Now on March 3, I receive an email with ballooned late charges bringing the invoice total close to $850.00. This is a company that quoted me $500 and charged me $718 ---- did poor work and refuses to back it up and now has tacked on late fees and is threatening legal action against me. I feel like it should be me threatening them with legal action. At this point, I would like them to go away. I believe them to be dishonest and I want nothing to do with them.
