I contacted Iris Farms via ******** messenger on November 6, 2023 to inquire about a retired mother that they had listed to rehome/sell. I was given her information and after a brief discussion agreed to put down a deposit for her and make a plan to travel to their location to pick her up on December 3, 2023. When we arrived we expected to see a healthy and well taken care of dog and when she came out of the doors we were shocked. She smelled horrible, and we could tell she was not properly cared for immediately. Her skin was red and inflamed in areas, her ears on the outside you could tell had been chewed up (inside and out), she needs a dental cleaning, and she is severely underweight (currently 26 lbs.) and she should weigh about 40 lbs. I asked to see the facility or where she had been living and was refused. This dog has been neglected bottom line. I took her to my vet as soon as I could and they determined: Malnourished Skin infection Fecal came back positive for Giardia Severe dental issues Umbilical Hernia There is absolutely no reason this dog in this condition should have been sold, but my conscience wouldn’t let me leave her there to suffer further so I have taken on the financial burden to getting her healthy and well.Initial Complaint

I got a puppy back in June (28th) with health guarantee and akc registered, shortly after receiving the puppy he started to gag and cough my vet did x-rays found a genetic condition hypoplastic trachea which is an extremely narrow windpipe abnormal vertebrae and crowded ribs causing the dog to have breathing issues that will continue for life making him so he will never fully live a normal life, I reacted out to the breeder asking for half the cost of a surgery to help open his already small airway to help improve the quality of life and they agreed to help with $3,000 and since have disappeared from my contact,
