  I hired Marilee, for family court. I retained her for $13,000 dollars, I was put on the back burner and no attention to my case what so ever! She depleted almost 90% of the retainer within a few 30 min virtual court calls. I from the start asked to appeal a falsified cps indication 6 months prior to ever having the opportunity to make it to trial. She put it off until I went in the office and demanded she appeal the indication months go by and by the time we where would finally be able to get to trial nothing had been accomplished. She bought as much time as possible to deplete the retainer. I never had the chance to step foot in a court to present my case for a more fair visitation agreement. She did everything in her power to write off as much of the money as she could before hand. Marilee over estimated hours of “work” and double charged for secretaries/ assistants and her self to read/review emails and evidence critical to my case. Forcing me to feel I could no longer reach out to her as I caught on to what she was doing. I did not even get to sit down with her to go over fact finding of the case it was all a scheme played out to deplete the funds with absolute no outcome what so ever forcing me to withdrawal my petition because the false indication from cps the judge was showing biased views from the start because of it. In the start I needed her to receive a transcript from Greece town court proving my innocence in a trial of the false allegations that where critical to the case. I was told by her I’m sorry but I am not having any Luck tracking down the Transcript. I took it upon my self to do the leg work and receive it as I did. I went into the Greece town court house to be questioned why are you doing this your Attorny works for you. I would like a full reimbursement of my retainer to settle this. I am also filing with the • Fourth Judicial Department Attorney Grievance Committees Thank you

  It is very difficult if not impossible to properly address this kind of complaint as an attorney.  Giving any specific details about this or any case and the reasons for their respective outcomes would be a breach of my attorney client privilege.  What I can tell you is that I totally deny and oppose the statements in *********'s complaint.  Further, myself and my staff communicated regularly with this client and zealously advocated for his position.  Ultimately, he withdrew his petition with the court as he felt the Judge was biased against him for reasons I cannot get into as stated above.  Directly after withdrawing his petition after multiple court appearances and, significant work done on his behalf he threatened that unless we "gave all his money back" he would go to the internet and attorney grievance committee."I urge anyone reading this complaint to take a look at the other reviews found on here, on our website, and the internet for a more accurate picture of my practice as an attorney that has dedicated the last 24 years solely to the representation and advocacy of Matrimonial and Family Law clients.Respectfully,******* ** *****
