WILL NOT GIVE ME A REFUND. Saw the charge of $59 on my credit card and called them to cancel my digital subscription. They said their policy is not to refund anything that they have charged. I am stuck with a subscription that I have been unable to read. It is because the print is just too small. Buyer you won't get your money back whether you like the service or not.

My experience with the Palm Beach Post has been upsetting to say the least. For over 12 years, I have been a subscriber of the Post, paying for a seven day subscription. As I pay the bill via my bank, the account number, payee address and the mailing address are set up in my computer. This past April, I forwarded a payment to the Palm Beach Post, via my computer, using the very info I have used for many years. Approximately, two to three weeks, I was notified by my bank the payment was returned without any reason. I immediately, attempted to call the paper, only to be sent from one department to another without success. I persisted with several phone calls, requesting assistance as to why the payment was returned. Finally, I reached young lady who looked into the issue. She informed me the address in West Palm Beach had been changed to Dallas Texas --- OBVIOUSLY WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO ME. Rather than debate the issue, the Post employee assisted me in changing the info in my computer (unfortunately, I could not change the info in my computer without the assistance of a Palm Post employee). Once the address was installed, I arranged to send the payment to the Post. At this point, I thought all was well. NOT SO!!! Assuming since they received the payment this past week, I was surprised when the paper was not delivered and my e-edition was closed. Here they cause the problem by changing an 12 year old payment address without notification (from West Palm Beach to Dallas, Texas) and after receiving (a payment that they hadn't immediately, credited to the account) they, without checking with the subscriber SHUT DOWN THE ACCOUNT. I expect a company who has had a 12 to 13 year association, would have contacted the subscriber to discuss the issue, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS THE COMPANY WHO CAUSED THE ISSUE BY CHANGING THE ADDRESS WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO THE SUBSCRIBOR. This action by the Palm Beach Post is unforgivable given the circumstances of the situation.

I subscribed last spring to the Columbus Dispatch for a $0.01, six-month trial subscription. At the end of the trial period in October, I called to cancel the subscription. Two calls to the customer service line of over 30 mins. each concluded with a dial tone. I then went on-line and messaged Subscriber Services who gave me a different phone number that I eventually got through to. I then cancelled the subscription with the CSR handling my call. To my surprise, my October **** bill arrived with a $9.99 charge on it for this subscription. I contested this charge with **** and they removed the charge. This has now continue every month since, so I have been charged now 4 times for a subscription that I already cancelled and have fortunately had it removed 4 times by ****. I do not believe that GateHouse/Gannett engages in ethical business practices and will never subscribe to one of their publications again. I hate to even give them one star.

Twice i tried to receive the Sunday record to no avail, I paid for the subscription twice the first time they said i never paid $142.50 but it was charged to my card i disputed this charge and received it back, I received a phone call from a young lady named Lynsy and she kept apologizing and promised me I will receive the paper so i paid again and guess what 2 weeks still no paper and the best part is when i cancelled they want to charge me for papers I never received lovely company, I come to find out that in this rural area it is a third party delivery company and they are telling Gate House Media they do not want to deliver to this rural area, I wish they would have never sold out to Gate House! I have deal with the Times Herold Record for many years with no issue what so ever. I am stii waiting for a refund for my second attempt! I do NOT NOT recommend this company at all!

Gate House Media Impossible to get any one to explain charges or get them removed. One of the worst customer services I have come across. How they got my debit card number is another issue.

I have cancelled with this company at least 4 times via phone. I have finally cancelled with my bank. Has anyone filed a class action against this company? What is up with their billing practices?

We (******* ************ Inc, New Paltz NY 12561) are long time subscribers to the print edition of the Middletown NY Times Herald Record. We just renewed our annual subscription and paid in full back in June. Over the past 3 weeks the lack of delivery of our paper has been appalling. We got no paper on Friday 16th. On Saturday 17th the carrier delivered TWO editions of Friday’s paper, but no Saturday edition. We received NO paper on Sunday 18th, Monday 19th and today Tuesday 20th . Numerous calls to the “automated system” have not received any response. I called Gatehouse Media and the parent company Gannet. I got to a human at Gannet - he sounded like he was in Asia. We started to discuss the problem and then I was cut off. What use is a daily newspaper if you don't get it every day?
