I was going to pay for a subscription but my bank card and credit cards decline the first try and they send me a message to make sure I was the person trying to make the purchase. I told them it was me and tried the purchase again they said it declined again which it should not have. which i tried another of my cards same scenario they declined it also. Then I tried to log into the site and they removed me and I can not log in. So now I look at my credit card account and see that they charged my account for the subscription anyway and kick me off the site.Business response

This company that operates or owns "edate" online service, for dating continues to send solicitating emails to me when I have never been a member, they have been asked to stop many times, sending their matches of people to 2 different emails of mine every day for almost 1 year now and they won't stop. my emails are *********@*******.net and **************@*******.net.Business response

Dear sir, We have received your complaint. Despite your claim to the contrary, you appear to have been a member of our website not once, but twice - under both of these email addresses. You made a profile under "*********@*******.net" on 2021-10-28, and we honored your request to the BBB to remove this account on 2022-10-11. Your other profile was made on 2021-10-16 under "**************@*******.net" and was last logged into just last month, on 2023-04-17. We have never received any request to remove this second profile, in fact we have received no emails to our support team from either email addresses. It's always easy to request a profile removal by email or phone to our CS department using our Help/Contact Us page. We have now removed your second profile as well. We take all such complaints very seriously, and wish to inform you we have completely and permanently removed this profile from our website. Due to delays in email queues, there is a small possibility that you will receive an additional email from us after your address has been removed. However, all mail from us should stop within a maximum of 10 days of removal. If you continue to receive email from us after 10 days, please forward the unsolicited email to the attention of the CS Manager at *************@*****.com for immediate follow up. After a bad experience with edate or match 1. Whatever it is called now..it won't let me reset my password and delete my profile. The man in question has a history of domestic violence I found out and want off of this dating site.Business response

Business continues to email me solicitations, I have never paid for any service from them, I continue to email them and ask them to stop, and they won't. They send 2 emails approx. every 10 days to both of my e mail address'sBusiness response

Dear Edate member, we have reviewed our email support system and have never received any emails from the email address you submitted this complaint with about any topic. We have removed your Edate profile as per your request, which should stop all emails to that email address within a maximum of 2 business days. Please reply with any other email addresses you may have made a profile with and we can verify, and remove, any other accounts you may have made.

Although you claim never to have signed up for our services, we have located a profile on our website made under the email address you submitted your complaint with. The profile was made on 10/25/2017, and last logged into on 05/21/2022, at which point you elected to remove the profile. However, no billing of any type took place with this profile, it has always been a free guest account. Unfortunately, we lack sufficient information at this time to find the transaction you mention. Please make sure that you are not referring to another profile that you have created on our site - we would need either an alternate email address or the last 4 numbers of your card to locate this profile and transaction(s) in that case. They are saying I kept renewing their garbage but I have not. They will try anything to stop and saying they are wrong. They are trying to bring up stuff 2021. I am supposed to remember that? As previously mentioned, we can occasionally make an extension to our refund policy if a member is a few days late, or has not used our services, but in your case, your 30 day subscription has now ended and you used it heavily all during your month of membership. Therefore, you are not eligible for a refund under our Terms and Conditions, but we have cancelled your subscription to ensure it does not renew today, September 15th.
