The Dentist went out of network with my insurance company on May 17, 2021 but did not notify me until December, 2021. As a result of me not having knowledge that the Dentist went out of network with my insurance I kept a cleaning appointment on 12/3/21 and had work done, at that appointment no one advised me that the dentist was out of network. If I had prior knowledge of the dentist being out of network I would have cancelled that appointment and found a Dentist that was participating with my insurance carrier. Now my insurance is only paying $60.00 of a bill of $152.00 that would have been paid in full if Plattsburgh Family Dentistry had been in network. I called the Dentistry and spoke with Zowie on 4/4/22 to ask for a $92.00 credit but she refused.Business response

Good Afternoon,Our office went out of network with ****** ********** and all patient's were credited up until all patient's were advised of this change in November. According to the patient, he did not receive this letter for nearly a month, until after his appointment in December. Patient changed offices in January of 2022.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I did not receive the notice that Plattsburgh Family Dentistry went out of network with United ********** insurance until after my December 3, 2021 appointment or else I would have cancelled that appointment. Upon receiving the notice later I called the dentist office on December 23, 2021 and cancelled the August 2022 appointment that I had made on December 3, 2021. Regards, ******* *********
