Date of incident: 11/19/2022 I rented a bounce house for my daughters 3rd birthday party. I have used this company last year for the same occasion and had a completely different experience this year. I rented the Unicorn Bounce House from 10:30am-6pm on 11/19/23 and paid in full in advance on 11/2/22 for $324.75, invoice #****. The morning of the party 11/19, it was sunny and clear, but chilly (******** in November). I received a message from the party rental that the delivery truck broke down and they might be arriving a little later than 10:30am. I could understand this, and responded thank you for letting me know and asking the eta. The driver/owner of the company responded 30 mins later via text (11:11am) letting me know that he had one more drop off before and then us. When I responded right away (11:12am) and asked what time we can expect because the party was started at 12pm, he did not respond for another 1.5 hours and at 12:43pm said he was 9 minutes away. Meanwhile I tried calling the driver and left a voice mail with no return call, only text. When the driver finally showed up at 1pm, he set up the bounce house. I noticed there was water everywhere, it was soaking wet. I mentioned this to him as he was setting up and he let me know that his 5 year old daughter had used it the day before for fun and that he had to sanitize it before coming here..The owner took some towels to the inside and attempted to dry it off and then left. I thought everything was ok until I sent 5 kids into the bounce house and they came down the slide soaking wet and freezing. We had to then tell the children the bounce house was not able to be used because it was just too wet, and many of the kids didnt have an extra change of clothes. I texted the owner at 3:43 to come pick it up because we couldnt use it due to the wetness he apologized and stated it was from the roof/sanitizing. When I emailed that night to request a full refund the company refused to return my money.
