In response to the complaint made against me:
My company finished the bathroom for *************************** asI had no dealings or other correspondence with *****************. She had a mud base and the application and stated she wanted it to match the height of the floor in her hallway to the height of the floor in the new bathroom. There was limited mud atop the subfloor so ,same thickness was in the bathroom. When installing mud on the floor, the shower was perpendicular to said bath. I explained to her that I would have to install a saddle to transition ath to shower, she firmly declined stating clearly she did not want a saddle. I therefore told her I would do my best with her decision.
The last day on the project, we installed the shower floor and later in the day, upon her inspection, she was not happy how her shower floor was draining. After a discussion with ******, I asked if she had enough tile to redo the floor, she said yes.
Note*Homeowner was responsible for all related materials.I agreed to have my men come back the next day to remove and redo the shower floor to my specifications.
Following the repair, at the end of the day ****** ran the shower and approved the drainage.
At this point ****** still owed me her final payment & stated she would meet with me the following day to pay her bill in full. She did meet me and paid me.
Approximately 6-8 weeks later, she called and stated she was not happy with shower drainage. I assured her I installed the floor twice for her and once again expressed my professional opinion that a saddle was necessary.I also offered to return but I would have to charge her for labor for my men.
That was our last communication until BBB sent me mail with the complaint #.
I have since emailed ****** offering to meet, discuss options moving forward. I have not received a reply.
I have been in business for 20+ years without a complaint, I request advice moving forward. It is imperative to uphold my reputation.
Also please note*- This project was completed 17months ago without complaint. I am quite surprised this is arising now.I await and hope for a response to this email in good faith
Respectfully,
***** ***** ********* ***** * ******* *********** ***
