This complaint is in regard to All Space Storage located at ***************************************************************. Said Business hosted an auction in which I paid **** dollars for one storage unit and **** dollars on a second unit. Both rooms were purchased by me approximately November 9. . I was told by ********* the owner of the storage Space that I had time to clean out my units. When I arrived at All Space two movers were moving out all the items and I was not permitted to retrieve the belongings that I had paid for.The Next month I noticed on line another auction at Highlands which featured the same exact boxes I had bought in the personal property storage unit I had purchased. The Name " *********" was written on the box.. It was the exact same box I purchased. ( I have photos ) The Auction appeared to be fraudulent in the sense that I had paid almost **** dollars for two rooms that were sincerely " Staged" to look good and alluring but were filled with water damaged boxes and random belongings thrown together. It was not personal property from a person disposing of their room. Thus , I have 2 complaints I would like to file regarding All Space Storage... the first being they cleaned out my storage unit after having agreed to give me an extra day and then took the itemsf and put them up on auction the following month... Secondly the **** dollar room I purchased was a " Staged" storage unit. It is deceptive business to organize a storage unit to look more than it is. I have been doing storage auctions for almost 30 years and have not come across deceptive and dishonest business as All Space Storage in Highlands ********. The auction took belongings that I had paid for and put them in another auction. The auction house took a large sum of money for a storage unit that was misrepresented and damaged. I am seeking a complete refund for the approximately **** dollars that I paid for after having never encountered such dishonesty and falsehood.

      Response to BBB Complaint
The customer states that ************************* hosted an auction in which he paid **** and **** for two units.  This is incorrect, AllSpace Storage Did NOT host an online auction nor did he pay us $**** or $****.  Allspace does not conduct online auctions.
The customer is confusing our location with an online *************** that he purchased the units on.  They are not affiliated in any way with AllSpace Storage.  The only way we are connected to this is that the two units he purchased thru the online auction house were both located at our facility in Highland **.
********************** called me several times over several days, he asked if he could just take over the rent of the unit in our G building and if he can keep it for another month or so or get more time to clean it out, I explained to him that he did not purchase the units from AllSpace, I cannot rent it to him and if he had any issues with his terms and conditions that he would have to contact the company he purchased the units through as I have nothing to do with that and dont know what his agreement with them was.
I explained this a few times to him, that I am only the physical place the units are, but I am not the company that he bought the units from so I cant tell him what he can or cant do since that agreement was made with him and the online company that I have nothing to do with.
I received several phone calls from the complainant as well as his daughters, where I explained many times that they have no business with me and I constantly referred them to contact the online auction company they conducted business with. His daughter called days after first contact explaining he has no way to empty the unit, she was concerned that her father was experiencing some cognitive decline as he had no way of clearing out the units, but keeps purchasing them as he has done for decades.  He now wanted to abandon the unit and was concerned about his reputation for doing so, he didnt want to burn any bridges.  I told the one daughter that I understood and had gone through this with my own father, I was very understanding and sympathetic, but told her there is nothing I can do; I am not part of this agreement, that they have to discuss any breach of contract with the company that he purchased through, I have no part in any of this.  I cant speak on the behalf of another company.
I never agreed to extend any time frame with the complainant, every conversation I referred him to contact the company he made the deal with.  If the company he purchased through gave him an extension I do not know.
As for the rest of the complaint about people in the unit, his daughter said that he was going to contact the online auction company and abandon the unit so if he did that I Dont know why he would be trying to access the unit, but can only assume the men he saw may have been the owners of the unit.  If he abandoned the unit or whatever agreement he made with the online auction company is not known to me as again, I have nothing to do with that agreement.
If the unit went back to the renter that put it up for auction after he canceled his contract then they still own the unit and can do what they please with its contents, so no wrongdoing was done. If the renters of the unit want to put it back on auction that is their right.
Allspace Storage does not sell auctions online or have any involvement with any contracts made by our renters or online companies, as I explained to the complainant I only deal with renters at our location, they can give their gate code or keys to anyone and do what the wish with the contents of their units as long as they abide by the terms and conditions of AllSpace as per stated on their signed contract with us, any issues the complainant has is not with allspace storage but with a separate online company.
