      I went into Aspen Dental for new dentures. I had a co-signer for the financial part of the deal. When it came time to wrap things up Dental First did not hold up their end of the deal so Aspen Dental charged $1543.20 to my co signers card and April the branch manager said that because of the issues the rest of the balance would be written off and that I had no further financial obligations. I went in for an adjustment and then was told I had a balance of $2314.80. I explained what was told to me they didn’t believe me, said April had no right to approve a write off so now I’m responsible for the balance. I spoke with Gina, April’s higher up and she said that it didn’t matter what was said I owe the balance. I asked if the office would take payments and the response was no. I either needed to go back through Dental First or pay the bill. She then said could I make 4 payments of $500 some odd dollars, I never signed anything to that agreement. Then she said I could not get anymore adjustments because the bill hadn’t been paid. I asked if they had cameras to prove what April had said. The response was no they don’t. So this is basically a runaround because April realized what she said was not allowed and backpedaled. I was told that I had no more financial obligations and that’s what I was going on.

We will be responding to the consumer directly on this communication. The Aspen Dental network is committed to breaking down barriers to care. Each independently owned and operated location and care team has the autonomy to work with patients, so they receive quality care. Every patient complaint is taken seriously and the office will work to resolve any concerns that are raised, living into our commitment to say “Yes” to quality oral care. I appreciate you giving us the opportunity to review this inquiry directly with the consumer adhering to federal privacy laws.
