I spent approximately $3,000 in November of 2021 working with IBS Septic, Queensbury NY to repair a sewer that was freezing every winter and backing up the first floor bathroom. They assured me re-pitching the pipe as it left the garage out in the driveway would fix the problem. Once they finished the work, the sewer backed up in January again. The townhome is used only part time and not a primary residence. Now they tell me it is the condensation pump from the furnace and there is not anything they can do. In addition, after sending them final payment, they were supposed to re-surface the repaired area on Friday 5/20. I called them to confirm the morning of 5/20 and again they said it would be delayed. I would like a partial refund of the $3,000 as they did not resolve my sewer freezing problem. I also need the black top repaired asap.Business response

To Whom it may Concern:
IBS Septic and Drain replaced the first 10 feet of line from the edge of Mr. *******'s garage. When we cameread the line we noticed bellies in the line-the bellies in the line will hold water and make it freeze especially when used rarely. We completed the work and 3 months later we were called back out because the line froze. We found at this point that the condensation pump from the furnace was producing moisture causing the line to freeze. This had nothing to do with the bellies in the line. As far as the re-surfacing of the drive way we did schedule for 5/20/2022 and we were unable to keep that date so we rescheduled it for 05/25/2022. Mr. ******* called and changed the date to 06/16/2022 for the resurfacing. We did not have Mr. ******* pay in full as of yet because we have not finished the job. There still is a remaining balance of $500.00 which we will collect when the job is completed.
