On 3/23/24 I had a problem with my furnace. The man arrived and diagnosed it in 10 minutes as a bad gas valve. He then went to the local parts store about 6 miles away for a new valve. While he was gone I took off the gas hose and the two other sensors. When he returned he ha another man with him and they put the new valve on in 15 minutes. He said the valve was 380$ and labor was 187$ so the bill came to 604$. I thought the amount was far too high. A few years ago I bought the same valve for 150$. The worst part was he said he couldn't provide a receipt and he would drop one off at a later date. I certainly think he padded the bill excessively and defrauded me.Business response

On the date and question was a Saturday he called me with no heat which is an after hours emergency service call which is $125 times 1.5 which is $187.50. The part was 280+ $100 service charge for our ******** to open the store on after hours service call so that's why the bill $604. I did nothing wrong he was charged the right amount, he agreed to it when I called him from the parts store with the price like I said it was a Saturday he had no heat he would've had to wait till Monday
