I have lived in the Oak building for nearly 7 years. There were many issues I delt with while living there, from radiators not installed in the beginning to Mold and Mice in the apt. The superintendent was nice to help me occasionally to clean up the mold and told me that I needed to use hot water and Clorox. But the Mold was an issue that the landlord needed to address because it was an ongoing problem that need the walls to be torn down and rebuilt. They received MCI money granted by the court to repair the brick faade outside the building and other building improvements but it didnt resolve the problem with mold. Lastly, when I moved out on June 30th due to Military order that my husband received, the landlord did not want to release us out of our lease (we only had two months left till the lease expired) they gave us a hard time asking for documents which they already had but claimed they didn't. This shows their incompetence of safe keeping of personal information. Hence, it's been three weeks after I moved out and they still have not refunded my security deposit. They have my forwarding address to mail me a certified check for my security deposit. In addition, the super helped me clear the apt and saw that the apt was in good condition. I just followed up with ********************* via email who I've been dealing with since May, waiting for his response. If I don't hear back within this month, further action will be taken via ************************ to further investigate, as they have failed to refund my security deposit within the 14 days period.
