6/16/21 the company installed a new blacktop driveway. On 7/16/21 I reached out to share that there was a large dip or “hole” that collected rain water on the new driveway. It was the width of the roller and it was evident that the roller had stayed unmoved too long on the one area of the driveway. I had also shared that in that past month my mother had passed and was unable to reach out sooner. The company advised that the pavement could take a month or two to settle. Since July I have repeatedly reached out via email to share that there has been no improvement and what will be done to correct the issue. The company has only responded by sharing that the owner Kris, will need to advise. In the beginning of sept, I reached out sharing my warranty & asking again if the matter will be corrected. They have still not responded. I reached out this evening to ask how it will be corrected. Other companies have confirmed that the dip is due to the roller sitting for an extended period of time.Business response

BBB received the following response from Christine at business: We have spoken with the customer and already scheduled for repairs to be done on October 15th, which is when we will go and do the repairs.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Updated 10/19; they came and sealed in their fix today. I a confirmed with the owner “this is what you call a fix”? He replied “yes”. I confirmed, “but we both agree it looks like ****”? He replied “yes”. I spent $4,000 to look like I need a new driveway. Please look on BBB, reviews site, you’ll see more unbiased unhappy reviews. The morning of, they came, on time and it went well. I overlooked that they were smoking weed on the job and it wasn’t even 10:00 am. That June, afternoon I had to leave to visit my dying mother but when I came home, I immediately noticed the large 4 foot section that dipped in the asphalt. I knew this was caused by the roller sitting stagnant too long in the one spot. This would ultimately pool and and be ice in winter months. I reached out and they responded stating let it settle. I reached out months later, the representative said Kris would come look at it. I checked in again to see if he had and was told kris would advise. To this day “Kris hasn’t ever advised”. I reached out multiple times only to be ignored. When you’re a new homeowner and you spend $4,000 on a new driveway, you’d really like it to not be messed up. When months passed, I contacted BBB. The company then miraculously contacted me and said they’d be here on 10/15 to repair it. I okayed it. For some reason they conveniently came the 14th instead and they laid new asphalt in half of the hole. This is what they call a repair. I of course have reached out again twice… but sorry to be a buzz kill… they’re not responding!!! The best word of advice I can give is when you buy a home, don’t trust the paper ads and instead ask the neighbors. After this happened I learned that others were also unhappy. with the company. I really didn’t want to write this and had the fix, been a true fix, I wouldn’t of wrote it. Regards, ******** *****
