  In January 2024 my mother, ******** **********, was transferred to Rosewood from ****** ****  Her primary need was for physical therapy. Her insurance paid until they deemed her PT no longer necessary. I took her to her osteopath who confirmed her leg break healed and she no longer needed PT. The original goal was to have her return home, however at 88 she was not able to quite get her strength back and was developing dementia. We transferred her to the ********, where she is receiving excellent care. Except for the PT department, I cannot say the same for Rosewood. Internal communication is almost non-existent and the nursing staff is in daily flux. Constant turnover. The same holds true for Social Workers. They went through 4 (that I know of) in the 6 months my mother was there. When I let the staff at Rosewood know my family and I decided to remove our mother from Rosewood, they became obstructive. She was on private pay at that point. We jumped through every hoop Rosewood set in front of us. We had her checked by her primary, and the head nurse at the ********. They continued to be obstructive, and we wound up being responsible for yet another month at Rosewood. Below is the amount we have paid that facility to date for care that was on the nursing side, any thing from abysmal to nonexistent. I've been requesting a refund from Rosewood for over payment for 3 weeks now. They have been anywhere from unresponsive to the usual obstructive. I'm reporting them to the VA, the Dept. of Health, and the Dept. for the Aging as well in light of the poor care our mother received at the hands of the Rosewood nursing staff.
