Bought a used engine for a 2002 ***** Astro on 07/18/2024. Engine was no good. Returned it. Requested a second engine, it was sent to me on 07/25/24, installed it, found it was misfiring, upon further diagnostic, 2 cylinders; 1 and 3 were loosing compression. Requested a third engine, turned out to be no good. Sent it back to seller, requested a fourth engine, seller resend third engine stating its a good engine. I lost money from having to remove/install engine and also adding new fluids (engine oil/coolant).Called up seller again, asked for a refund, ****** refused.Note: Invoice has no VIN number for which the used engine came from, unable to do a carfax.Customer response

On April 03 2024 I called PNP Auto for a Jeep Cherokee engine. They sent me a motor for a Jeep Grand Cherokee which will not fit in a Jeep Cherokee. When I discovered this to be the wrong motor I called PNP to let them know this was incorrect and I will not be able to use this. I was promised the correct motor for a period of about 3 weeks. The other motor never arrived, I requested this motor to be picked up and my money refunded. I was promised over and over that the motor will be picked up and I will be refunded. The motor still sits in my building and with ever phone call now I get put on hold and no resolution has been met. I would like to motor returned and a full refund.Customer response

We purchased a used engine w/ a 6-month warranty from PNP Automotive w/ stock#***** listed on ************ w/ supposedly 42k miles on 2/24/22 after weeks of trying to track down the engine after placing the order. OJ at PNP said they lost the engine despite it still being listed for sale online (and still listed as of 5/27/22 under the same stock#). After many more phone calls, OJ magically located the engine but instead of the listed $4200, he said it was actually $5000, but that if we paid by check upon delivery we could save money. The engine arrived weeks later, we paid by check & it was set aside until the project could come into the shop. Upon a more thorough inspection, we realized the engine had a timing belt sticker that was partially ripped off, meaning there is no way the engine only had 42k miles on it. ***** timing belts are replaced every 100k miles. ***** were multiple cracked/shattered plastic components, indicative of more severe damage than what was advertised. ***** were multiple large oil leaks including a cracked oil pan (letting oil pour out onto the floor), and every hose, pipe and wiring harness had been hacked off the engine, rendering many components useless. We called and spoke to OJ and explained our concerns with the engine that arrived; How it was most definitely not the engine that was advertised and ordered according to ************. The next several weeks were continuous calls to PNP and being hung up on repeatedly. Eventually being promised a replacement engine that never arrived. Then told there was no record of a replacement engine ever ordered when we followed up. Then told we could return the engine, but would have to pay a 25% restocking fee (never discussed or indicated on our receipt) despite being within the 6 month warranty (noted on receipt). All it takes is a ****** search of PNP Automotive to see we were not the only ones who had this sort of experience. This place is a total scam of a business and should be shut down.
