      I bought two 5-gallon water bottles from this store. The purchase includes a bottle deposit that is supposed to be refunded when the bottle is returned. The store is refusing to refund me the deposit unless I continue buying water from them. I told them I no longer needed to get water from them because I have a water filter now, but they didn't care. ****** and some girl at the register proceeded to call the manager who also refused to give me my refund.

      Bought C&C can sodas and was charged bottle tax. Those cans do not qualify for the 5 cent refund. I brought it to the attention of the sales clerk, but she says she had to charge it.I just want to stop them from doing this, its stealing from the customers.

      I have just moved over to the Bronx in October 2023. I started to go to this supermarket because it isnt far. Everytime I go there and I make a purchase I have to take something back. Its either the meat is bad something is first bite. Expired. I have suffered from bathroom usage way more with obtaining groceries from this supermarket. I have never been since like this living at my prior location. I try and tell them that a lot of the stuff is bad but they seem to not care. That is not good. Also the establishment has a very foul Oder back by loading and receiving inside the market and out. the fish market has a bad smell as well. They ice cream once I opened it I seen was bad it was supposed to be white it was yellow. A lot of times they are asking for receipts to return but by the time I notice I have thrown them out and only have proof on my EBT app proof of a purchase.

      You have an advertisement on the front window of your grocery store. You have a price displayed on the Shelf in two different locations which is the same price that's advertised on the front of the store. When I went to purchase the malta drink I was charged $1.25 instead of the advertised price. I went to the manager he went to the back to verify instead of verifying it he removed the price off the shelf and stated to me that that price is not back there which I informed of about but yet he did not know that the ***** drinks was also in a second location and that price was still up as advertised which was $0.99. If you advertise a price stop making it difficult for Shoppers an honor the price that you have display. Instead of removing all advertised pricing the other two prices were left for other unknown shoppers to pay full price instead of sale price. This occurred December 9th 2023 at 9:27 a.m.

      Location* Western Beef ********************************************************** Date August 31st 2023 Time 7pm EST Good afternoon,Me and my elderly mother went into this location to pick up her monthly groceries. My mother currently uses her OTC- over the counter benefits from her health insurance to pay for groceries. She also prefer to use the mobile app(OTC network) to do so. However, the cashier told us we couldn't use the app and we had to use the physical card. So, I asked when did this policy change? because we always use the app.. At that point, she became very rude and dismissive. She begins to walks away and said she was getting the manager. A man who states he was the manager approaches us and says" You must use the physical card if u want to buy groceries. So, I said well she lost her card and only pay on the app. He didn't seem to care or explain when/why the policy was changed. He was VERY rude and condescending. The fact that he was yelling at us it was very embarrassing. We ended up leaving the groceries in the shopping cart and left. My mother has been a ******* resident for over 20 years and has always shopped at this store. This was beyond unacceptable. Western Beef loyal customers shouldn't be treated this way. This was unacceptable behavior. And based on this last experience. She probably won't be shopping here anymore. FYI- same cashier has been rude to my mother previously. I don't recall her name but she had an accent possibly* **** ****** or *******.

      8/2/23 I purchased at the location I am complaining about I purchased soda ,milk, eggs bread and a few other items to my surprise the amount exceeded my expectations I believe that they are completely taking advantage of the poor because 98% of their customers are welfare/snap recepients their prices are actually higher than any other supermarket in the whole entire area I believe they deserve to be probed for price gauging its time this chain of supermarkets gets put under investigation cause its a disservice to the community they serve and a betrayal of trust

      This store is selling spoiled and rotten food. On several occasions I've gone to this store and purchased food that wasn't edible. On Tuesday On May 16th I purchased a few items from Western Beef **** southern blvd located and 2 of the items were spoiled. The bread and beef patties both green. This is unacceptable as this isn't 1st time or second but seem to be a recurring issue.

      On 4/3/20, during the ******19 Global Pandemic, I received a $11.96 store credit from Western Beef on ***********. in Brooklyn. At the time I received the credit, the manager who signed the credit said the credit was good indefinitely. I asked several times if that was the case and she said yes. Moreover, I did not observe any signs on the store walls that said store credits had to be used in a specific time frame nor did the actual credit voucher say the credit terminated on a specific date.On Monday, October 10, 2022, I went to the same Western Beef on *********** and attempted to use the $11.96 credit. Someone came to the cashier, retrieved the credit with the attached receipt, and took it to the store manager for verification. That person returned and said the store manager refused to honor the credit because two years had passed since it was issued. Again, I observed the walls of the store and saw nothing that said store credits had expiration dates. I immediately asked to speak to the manager. After a 20 minute wait, the store manager emerged and scowled at me. He looked angrily at me and said he would not honor the credit. He claimed that he had been with the organization for 30 years and at no time had I credit been honored after two years. I told him the issuing manager who gave me the credit said it was good indefinitely. However, he did not relent and gave me the number for Western Beef's corporate office. He said if his manager agreed he would accept it.I called and spoke with a woman who claimed she was store manager's supervisor. The lady had the audacity to tell me that Western Beef did not provide store credits, that her employees know not to give credits, and doubted the validity of the document I possessed. She contemplated how she could get a pic of the document and said she would call the store manager to do so. I hung up. Eventually, the store manager emerged and told me that his manager called and said he did not have to honor the credit.

      Went to this Western Beef 9/18/22 around 5pm and bought some chicken. When I got home, the chicken smelled sour and it was super slimy! Upon my discovery, I immediately looked for my receipt - which the cashier did not put in my bag - but I decided to go try my luck. When I got to the store, I informed the cashier of the situation, she then got manager ******* who insisted I needed a receipt to receive a refund. He then advised me to go to the back and get some more old meat to exchange for the old meat I brought back. The guy in the meat department opened up another pack for me to smell, and yes it was another old pack of meat.

      I purchased oil from the Mineola Western beef over a month and a half ago. Upon arriving home and unloading the groceries there was quite a bit of spillage in my car. I realized after inspection that the spillage was from the seal of the oil ripped open. I immediately called the Western beef and requested a Replacement. I was told that the manager will refuse my change as I have already left the store. I asked the associate who answered the phone to let me speak to the manager. The associate put me on hold for over 25 minutes. When I called back to ask for the manager and complained that I had been on hold for 25 minutes when the initial answer was given to me within three minutes of the phone call, I was told that the manager was avoiding me. He did not want to speak to you Was what the associate said. I called corporate offices and was told to file a complaint which I did and it would be sent back to the store to rectify. I explained that would be wrong to do since the manager refused to speak to me when I called them the first time. They assured me that that manager will call me back and find an amicable resolution. I waited a week and called corporate offices back and was told There is someone else who handles this at this point and they will come in on Monday and will give me a call. It has been eight weeks since that conversation and I am still waiting for somebody to give me a call. At this point I Want anyone high within corporate offices to give me a call and explain why their managers refuse to speak to clients and why I still have not received a call.
