Hello I am a current resident at brior manor complex in Rochester ny I felled behind on my rent due to covid and had 2 different rent program agency help me with rent one was **** and the other one was catholic learned family center in both agreements it was stated if the landlord accepts the payment they can’t raise the tenant rent or evict the tenant due to a expired lease for one year after they received the payment yesterday on 2-8-2023 I went to the office to put my husband on my lease and told they are increasing my rent and also that they are kicking me and my children out for a expired lease at the end of March 2023 and I explained to them they can’t because a agreement was signed they are not following the agreement rules and Joyce which is the office manager stated she doesn’t care she is very rude and racistBusiness response

With respect to complain ID ********. The person with whom the resident spoke did not have a copy of the agreement she was referencing. It is accurate that her rent is not going up and she can stay in her apartment for 12 months. Hopefully this resolves her issues.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Regards, ****** ****** Hello I am not satisfied with this response I was treated poorly and had to call law enforcement to make a report and I also have a video regarding the incident I am not happy and would like to contact the owner of the property and the property manager refuse to give me the information if I can’t get the owner of the property information to speak to them directly I am going to take other steps by getting lawyers involved and also speaking on the water cooler and going public with this matter I am very disappointed how I was treated and I also had my child with me
