I'm requesting a refund due to the bait and switch practices allowed by the Blue Cross Arena for the ***** *** concert on May 5th, 2024, in Rochester, New York. This 'concert' was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. My husband and I purchased tickets totaling over $500 for seats in Section 107, Row M, seats 7, 8, and 9. However, our hopes were quickly dashed when we encountered a group of disruptive individuals who had overtaken our designated seats and were openly hostile, threatening us with physical violence when we attempted to claim what rightfully belonged to us. It was a shocking and unsettling situation, completely unexpected at a supposedly organized and secure event. In a bid to salvage the evening, I approached the security team at the arena, hoping they would intervene and restore order. I asked that an officer come to our seats to help us sit in our designated, paid for spot and Amanda, one of the security personnel, listened to my concerns, but her response was disheartening. She explained that there were numerous similar concerns about the concert potentially not meeting the curfew imposed by the fire marshal, indicating a broader issue with event management. She then advised me no one would come assist us, and our best and safest option was to leave the show and call the Box Office for a refund. It was a bitter pill to swallow, realizing that not only had our evening been ruined by unruly behavior, but also by a lack of adequate security measures and crowd management protocols. It was 11pm and ***** *** also hadn't showed up on time to a Sunday show that was slated for 7pm - 11pm. Folks like us had work in the morning! As we left the arena, my disappointment lingered, overshadowing what should have been a memorable night of music and fun. At this time, I am requesting a refund and filing with the Attorney General's Office of New York, BBB, and will pursue all legal routes to obtain my $500 back in a refund.Business response

BBB spoke to the business and the following was relayed:
We have issued a full refund to this customer. It takes 7-10 business days but she should see the full refund by the end of this week. Thank you.
