      I was called several months ago asking if I would like to have an annual maintenance on my HVAC unit to ensure it was in working order and there were no problems. Considering I’ve had some issues in the past with the system I thought it would be a good idea to have it checked over before the summer and scheduled the appointment for 5/13. The technician that came out was familiar with the previous issues and performed the scheduled service. I was told at that time the system was properly working and nothing additional was needed at that time. Less than a week later the A/C was broken and not properly cooling the house. I’m incredibly frustrated that I payed $278.64 for the first visit and told everything was working, only to several days later find that the A/C was broken. A second technician then came out and charged $409.80 to repair the A/C. I’m more than happy to pay for the repairs, but feel that there needs to be some consideration for the initial visit, as it seems that absolutely nothing was done to ensure the unit was in working condition and prevent the need for a second visit only days later. Airquip has provided excellent service for me in the past, but I’m incredibly disappointed in the services that were performed last month. I realize the A/C unit is on its way out and will most likely need to be repaired or replaced soon, but I was told when I scheduled the initial visit the point of the maintenance was to prevent any issues and ensure the unit was working for the summer. I just don’t think its fair to have to pay for a service call where I’m told everything is working, only to days later have the system fail. The above message was sent to their service manager in mid-June. I received a response back indicating that a $100 adjustment would be offered. I asked how the refund would be process and never received a response. I've tried to reach out for the past few weeks, but my emails and calls have gone ignored. I'm looking for help in getting a refund.
