Where do I begin? Don’t walk away from this company-RUN! We utilized their services, and experienced nothing but problems. While trying to get a resolution to our concerns the owners and staff demonstrated hostility and resistance when we inquired about their business practices. For example, what services were advertised were not delivered-bait and switch. They exposed my Father’s personal information to individuals outside the company. A direct HIPPA violation. They lack compassion, professionalism and empathy. In good conscience I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I started Happier At Home to help others that are in similar situations to what my family and I went through. For 15 years, this is the first complaint that we received, and I find it unjustified. This family was with us for over a year, and if the care was not quality, helpful or if there were "nothing but problems", they would have left us. Instead, we were forced to discontinue services for them, as their family member required more care than what we could provide. This angered the person that submitted this review, who quite literally made members of my staff cry. As solid evidence to refute this person's unfounded complaint, she signed our Service Agreement, which outlines the services that we can provide. Additionally, this person also signed for and received our "Client Handbook", which outlines the services we can and cannot provide. When we began services with this family member, he was also receiving care from an additional home care company, which was appropriately providing care that we are not licensed to provide. Our web site delineates the services that we can provide in NYS, so there is no false advertising. In regard to the alleged lack of compassion, etc., all I could say is that with my direct conversations with this family member with the intent to understand her and to resolve her lack of understanding, she was berating, belittling and any conversation that was had with her was solely for that purpose. Her own family members had conversations with us about her and asked that she not represent the way they feel about our company. At that point, there was nothing that I could do to make her happy unfortunately. I am proud of the continued care and flexibility that our caregivers and office staff showed our client and his wife throughout his time with us and I wish him and his wife nothing but blessings.
